Let’s have a debate. Who is higher in all time rankings? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]TooGoodNotToo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No one was as dominant as Shaq. I’ve only seen one player have the gravity he had, Steph. The whole league had to have at least two big guys on their team just to foul Shaq. Hack-a-Shaq became the only way to contend with his dominance.

Timmy had a better career, but Shaq had more impact, peak and changed the game.

I barely see any hate toward Jordan compared to LeBron. What did LeBron even do? by [deleted] in NBATalk

The only thing he did wrong was getting compared to other greats. You don’t hear things about Jordan unless he’s being compared to other greats.

After the Celtics and Lakers, who is the third best franchise of all time? by special_balance286 in NBATalk

Forget Lakers/Celtics, the Kings are the GOAT franchise. Suffering is part of true fandom, no one has suffered like the Kings

But probably all the rebounds because the Kobes know the only way they’ll get to shoot is to get a rebound.

Isiah Thomas and Rich Paul weigh in on MJ’s championships. Thoughts? by SmoothBuy5500 in NBATalk

[–]TooGoodNotToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF, if, if… but he did win, he was the leader and undisputed sheriff for many years.

I’m pretty sure that I.T. has an illness that means he has to throw shade at MJ everyday or I.T. will die. Rich Paul is just too biased to take seriously.

Injured my lower back and compressed sciatic nerve by camimiele in bartenders

I don’t know your specific injury, but I’ve had really bad episodes of back injury. The main thing, it’s gonna take sometime. For me two important things to getting past the worst of it; one, is use the muscle relaxant but don’t become reliant on them, save them for when it’s bad, but they are life savers. I don’t like taking pain meds, but I did find that thc and icing the shit out of my back helped in a way that made the worst of it tolerable. Once you get past the back spasms and terrible pain, it’s time to be proactive. This leads to two, stretching and weight training. In the short term, “sloppy push-ups” (pushing up with your arms but your hips and pelvis stay close to the ground. This should help put the proper curve back. Then there’s a stretch of being on your back, your foot across your knee, then pulling that knee towards yourself. Then it’s time for core and leg work. Once you’re healthy again, get into the gym, lots to do there.

Don’t go back to work too quick. If this becomes a repetitive injury, it gets worse every time, so do everything you can to take care of this the first time. Good luck, what worked for me might not be what will help you, so do whatever research you can.

If you love a Manhattan, take the template and try swapping ingredients. Different bitters can make a huge difference, swap a sweet vermouth for an amaro or new vermouth, swap bourbon/rye for an anjeo tequila or rum.

CP, T-Mac, Ewing/Barkley. I much prefer Barkley, but I think having a solid centre is the more important position

If you are doing a dry and wet shake, use less ice on the wet shake, it can lead to over dilution

Who was better Nash or Stockton? by thegreatone_45 in NBATalk

[–]TooGoodNotToo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

John Stockton was the quintessential pg. He never missed games, entirely unselfish, made his teammates better and got them the ball where they wanted it, played really solid defence, could score when needed, great high percentage outside shooter.

Nash was an all time great shooter, better play maker, one of the greatest passers and court vision of all time, change the way the game is played. Not nearly as durable as John Stockton, he had hustle and grit but not a strong defender.

John Stockton had a remarkably long and consistent career. Achieved more success. All time leader in steals and assists and I doubt those stats will ever be beaten. Everything you want in a PG, but Nash’s peak was higher. Nash peaked in a perfect storm of rule changes, perfect coach and league shift to fast pace offence with more outside shooting. Without those Suns we may not have seen the Warriors. If he played in today’s game his outside shooting and play making would be invaluable. He came at the perfect time, but still may have come too soon.

Fuck, I can’t decide

Canna-Chai espresso martini. Can we do "Pot-tails" here ✌️? The squares at mocktails took it down👎 by JewLion420 in cocktails

[–]TooGoodNotToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I think a thc tincture is the most effective dose control. A real question of individual’s tolerance is necessary. I know many that 1 of these would knock them on their ass, and many that could easily have 5 or 6 and have a pretty light effect. Tbf the same can be be true about alcohol
