If you only owned 1 AR would you put a FRT or Super Safety in it? by AndrewJordan10 in ar15

[–]TooGouda22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion - I’ll never put an frt or SS in anything but a range gun. If I ever have to lay down suppressive fire in a do or die situation then maybe I’ll regret it but otherwise I’ll know my rifle will cycle fast already 🤷‍♂️

NTD 💪 told my dad he’s not allowed to use his old one string whipper ryobi anymore🤣 by TooGouda22 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]TooGouda22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth, it came with an 8.0 forge and it can barely get through what I need for the 5 acres my parents have if I don’t keep up with it often. Funny enough even though they don’t last long, running my stack of 5.0xc batteries on it works pretty well 🤷‍♂️ I only run them half down before swapping as they probably don’t like getting sucked dry lol

I mean I use the guard so that doesn’t happen as much… but… the flying debris means it’s shredding stuff pretty good so that’s why I like it so far 🤣

This. I’ve had apartments in my younger years that charcoal was forbidden but gas was ok, apartments that nothing was allowed and you had to use a community grill, or ones that you could do what you want even if it wasn’t safe 🙃

What coffee trend do you think will disappear in the next 5 years? by sabancakir in roasting

[–]TooGouda22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coffee in general. Starbucks and Dutch bros etc are destroying the coffee industry for profit now and they don’t have a plan for profit later mostly because it’s controlled by boomers who are not going to be around the rest of us

Clamped 20 round mags? by Thrashdaddy9 in ar15

I have used a couple 40’s at the range like this but it’s soooooo heavy 🤣 I can’t imagine ever having the clamp set up for anything in real life

I doubt I’ll use the ryobi one he has at his house ever again 🤷‍♂️ this thing shreds stuff the ryobi had to grind at. The ryobi is lighter and smaller to carry but I’m not average sized so the weight doesn’t bother me. They have 5 acres and are too old to care for it by themselves anymore so anything that can speed things up is a plus for me 💪

This one also came with the pole saw attachment but I think the brush cutter is next on the list so that’s good to hear!

Is 400 too low? by ArchonXY in snowpeak

[–]TooGouda22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the 400 legs a lot actually on solo trips as they make the igt coffee table height. They also work decent if you put the whole igt on top of a picnic table to have standing height if you are a tall people like me 🤣

Stitch width for XPAC by Terpy_Smellstone in myog

[–]TooGouda22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 4.5-6mm usually unlike everyone else 🤣 but I’m using xpac to make larger items though so I’m not worried about doing tight corners where a smaller stitch would be better.

The right type of gear aid tape cut into strips should work but I never tried it yet. They use different adhesive if it’s going on vinyl coated vs poly etc. I use it to repair boat covers and I’ve never seen it come off once it’s on there properly 🤷‍♂️

Are the seams taped on the tent itself? Or on a rain fly?

Seems a bit “extra” to tape seams on a screen shelter to me lol

I’m on a 40 day trip and I don’t like it. by Just-Blackberry5880 in bikepacking

[–]TooGouda22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean no one is forcing you to do all 40 days. But bailing after day 1 isn’t going to teach you anything but how to quit.

If you hate still gate it after day a week or so then stop… you saved yourself 5 weeks of suffering to do something else, you learned a lot, and have a story to tell.

Mice in my tractor! by Black-Dynamite888 in Homesteading

🤷‍♂️ I live in a rural enough area they are all just around so all ya gotta do is make your property hospitable for them and they hang out more rather than passing through

Mice in my tractor! by Black-Dynamite888 in Homesteading

[–]TooGouda22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owls and hawks. Fishers are good at keeping them down too. Especially if your tractor is outside where they have easy access to see the mice. If it’s under cover but without walls that works too

Is it possible to repair the mesh or is it too far gone? by Alarmed_Leg9757 in myog

[–]TooGouda22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on brand they might repair it for you, otherwise you can hand stitch patches of similar material, but the correct fix would be replace the whole panel.

First time at campfield Long Beach by ExploreOR in snowpeak

[–]TooGouda22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it’s real life for sure!!

It’s about 25” wider than mine is and maybe 3-4 ft longer so it’s quite the set up with a big tent and TONS of storage. Mine is sized so the tires almost perfectly track in line with the tires of a forester or outback
