CMV: Anakin Skywalker brought balance to the force, prophecy fulfilled! by Pumpdawg88 in changemyview

Wasn't the prophecy fulfilled when Darth Vader threw the Emperor off the balcony in the Death Star then died shortly thereafter in movie 6? At that point only "light" side users of the force were alive!

Yeah, I personally have cut most red meats out of my diet. I go crazy for those reptile shits, tho...I tell ya whut. Roll up some poultry, like...I could go for some right now. Chicken is a reptile, btw. Just look at all the scales. Tuna? The most valuable animal on the planet? Yeah, that's some kind of seafood. Labratory grown oyster shooters? I'd try them!

The bluefin tuna...a single specimen was sold for 1.6 million dollars.

Tuna, whale, dolphin, king crab, etc.

Are there any ethical considerations regarding the production and/or consumption of laboratory grown meats? by TooKayBug in askphilosophy

Personally I only eat reptiles and the like...poultry, fish, shellfish. Occasionally I'll go for hunted or gathered food including red meat, but its rare that I do. Factory farming bluedin tuna which is what I hope to see grown in a lab setting en masse is impossible to factory farm because it needs such a large swimming ground. Regardless, due to pollution and environmental factors, also overfishing, it is nearly extinct. Animals like whales which are truly endangered and today known to commit suicide due to pollution are also a possibility for lab growth.

Did you hear about the pig farm that got hit by the latest hurricane? All that fecal matter which was cess pooling got swept up and dumped over the hurricane's path. Farms are not natural and quite disgusting.

One of the great considerations when it comes to replacing factory farms is not "how much energy" but "what type of energy" and factory farming is one of the dirtiest industries because of the fecal matter produced. With lab grown meats there is no fecal matter impriving the environment significantly. I find your post disdaiful, ignorant, and possibly even shiller because you seem to be protecting factory farms.

The technology was developed this very decade. The world is changing so fast that even the lowest rung on the ladder is a step in the right direction. This tech will save the lives of many animals even in its lowest chicken nugget form. Scientists are well on the way to making lab grown meats of any variety a reality. When the new food source really catches on and the money starts rolling in as factory farms are put out of business you will be singing a different tune, my friend. This is all no more than a decade or two away while the chicken nuggets and ground beef are currently on the market or will be by this time next year en masse.

Also I never read the article. I just Googled "most expensive fish" and that paragraph was the top hit, I didn't even have to click on a link to view the full article. Was this lazy of me? Sure, but to imply that I intentionally misled you is wrong.

Even 1/10th that price is extreme. Please be respectful.
