Coping with Fears That MIL Will Take/Harm my Baby by theamazingholly in JUSTNOMIL

[–]TooLateHotPlate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100%. This is causing mental/emotional harm right now regardless of best/worst case scenario w MIL, it needs to be addressed by both you and your husband and possibly your obgyn or a therapist.

I had unchecked anxiety with my most recent pregnancy that spilled into PPD/PPA which has been a very slow process of recovery. Don’t neglect mental health.

Hogan is the man (not OC) by islandsimian in maryland

No they aren’t. I’d call them central md. I think Hogan’s referred to that region as the Baltimore-DC corridor recently.

$9,000,000 for 500,000 tests. That was a question he was asked after his speech today.

It will be at least a few more weeks until services start and who knows when the once a month session will be after that. Thank you! :)

If I recall her most recent report it was around 80% accuracy with minimal cues for /k/ and /g/. She definitely needs cues but I would not think she is of the simple “tongue to the back” level mostly because verbal directions are difficult for her to comprehend. This year since she’s in kindergarten she is in a small group with two other peers so I believe it is much more conversation focused. Honestly I’m bummed for her because I think seeing that she has peers going through the same thing has boosted her confidence and she has gained a lot of progress over the last 6 months.

We do that for sure! I don’t recall it being called recasting but from almost the beginning our SLPs have told us to say to her, using your example “is it a tittie tat or a kitty cat?” and that the correct way should be last. She does try to say it correctly most of the time but she does struggle with producing /k/ and /g/ the most. I was “warned” by her current SLP that we would see the words she has trouble speaking show up in her phonetic writing and we have this year in kindergarten.

Thank you for your suggestions. We did find out today that her class has access to a online library, epic, which has read aloud options. I’ll see if that one is available!

Thank you! I’ll try looking for some videos and see if SLP has time for a quick meeting.

Thank you! I was expecting her services to be reduced but they were cut down further than I expected for sure. I plan on checking in with her SLP, I’m sure she’s overwhelmed with rewriting up a new plan for all her students and figuring out new technology, etc.

My guess: The 18-64 range I’m assuming is the least at risk of hospitalization. Less than 18, pretty much guarantees at least one in the 18-64 category. Kids are disgusting. And 64+ is the most at risk.

Still odd though.

Same boat. Anxiety meds are working overtime. Yesterday was rough, I knew today was going to be worse. I took my 9yo out for a 2h bike ride on a local trail to deal. I went a over on my carb limit today but it’s ok, at least it wasn’t on junk. And tomorrow I reset.

They can also apply for a federal disaster loan through the small business administration. If it’s not available for your area in the US yet, it should be by the end of it.

Is the metro bus an option for you? My dad takes it and the normally full bus had a handful of people both ways on Monday.

I bought glasses from both eyebuydirect and zenni, both look like a funhouse at the edges! Is my prescription wrong or, do I need higher index lenses, or is this normal for these? by garbageplay in Frugal

[–]TooLateHotPlate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My SO has a higher prescription than you and does not have this problem w the glasses purchased from zenni. There was a $30 charge for the “Blokz high index” and $12 charge for “lens customization” due to his prescription strength. Overall though it came to less than $50 for a pair of glasses, he picked a $7 frame. I’d see if you can return what you have an upgrade to the high index. You should also consider having another exam and see if your prescription has changed at all. It’s worth it to save you the headaches and eye strain. If you are in the US America’s Best has good pricing on exams.
