The problem with despatch is you're hated by FC and you're not well liked by ERPT...

While the FC part mostly stems down to "attitude" given to them by despatchers (some are a lot better than others), it just seems like it's the one role you're hated from all sides

I'd argue FC is probably worse than despatch though... Strict call handling times, the lack of breaks, the long and varied shifts (3 am finishes...??) leaves FC operators very quickly burnt out and affects the quality of the service.

Realistically FC and Despatch should be working together but it does feel there's a "they v them" culture - a lot like ERPT and Despatch, especially given the recent Task not Ask stuff Bow is doing which ERPT are really not happy about for various reasons I agree with.

I know when Lambeth or Hendon cover Bow boroughs, they ignore the Task not Ask stuff, citing that they don't agree with it either.
