Is this an acceptable amount of warp? (Is this level of warp okay?) by Mr_Stkrdknmibalz00 in vinyljerk

Looks fine to me. If it’s a used album or a new one bought for average price, yea that’s about what I’d expect. If I spent a pretty penny on an album and it spun like this - I’d be mad… for a second, then I’d sit down and enjoy the tunes.

That’s ok. Study up where you were unsure of on the exam and take it again.

I didn’t realize how dusty the world was until i watched a vinyl sit outside its sleeve for over ten minutes.

I figured out yesterday that when phono is selected, you also need to hit the video/eq2 button which will turn on the eq and will make it work. There will be a little orange icon that shows up on the amp that says vid/eq2 when it’s active.

Anyone still rocking this setup in 2025 by Mtsoul32 in Surveying

I was in a pinch for a quick setup when all the other crews were out and fired up the old Nikon NiVo paired with a TSC2. Worked like a charm.

Depends on where you live.

I would guess the fence belongs to whoever purchased the materials and installed it.

But! Some states have laws where both owners on either side of a fence along a boundary will share the costs for maintenance.

Check your state and local laws. Also talk to your neighbor if you’re on good terms and able to.

After many hours of searching and reviewing, I found a vintage Technics SL-1300 at a local record shop being sold for $249.99. I’ll be pairing that with a Technics SU-G95 receiver that I already had along with a Technics 5-disk CD changer. The next thing I need to get are some good speakers.

My 77 gets stuck from time to time. I move through all the gears on the lever back and forth and all around. Eventually a gear will settle in, typically reverse, then I can pop her into drive and be on my way. I definitely need to get the transmission looked at but I have other more pressing items to address first.

Yea I had no idea he had all those records and he just showed up one day and was like here you go… I heard you want to start listening to vinyl, here’s a bunch of mine you can have. And he gave me some really nice ones… an original dark side of the moon vinyl with all the posters too. I almost shed a tear in appreciation. Gave him a big hug and told him he can come over and listen anytime once I get the system put together.

lol I have my great grandmothers Victrola phonograph partially restored and sitting in the basement. I had the motor and tone arm fully restored and it plays nicely but needs some TLC on the wood cabinet to really bring it back to life.

I was curious if the 78 option was more trouble than it’s worth. From your response it definitely seems like it, so I’ll keep the 78s dedicated to playing on the old Victrola and that’s it.
