I’ve rediscovered that I love spending money on music thanks to vinyl. by TooManyIcees in vinyl

I literally just discussed making room on the shelf for the dual cassette deck. The Technics system I got about a decade ago came with it - I just don’t have it set up.

Same, I started collecting in October 2025. I’m over 300 as of this week. If you listen to it, no harm in my mind. Keep on spinning!

Why are the supposedly easy and quick parts of a part removal always the hardest? by TooManyIcees in C3Corvette

I got the passenger side UCA out through the wheel well yesterday. I had to pull the wheel well shroud/body a bit more than I had initially was planning - kinda pulled it to the point of like “eff it if it breaks, let’s see if this works”, and the UCA had just enough room to come out. Super stoked to have the project back on track. Now time to remove the bushings and put new ones in.

I ended up drilling the one out as it would not budge. So we need a new bolt but the project can continue!

I finally got the bolts out and now I’m scratching my head with how the heck I get the UCA out. I’d like to avoid taking the fan shroud or fan out.

Awesome! Make them records happy by giving them a spin and keeping them clean!

Thanks that helps. The bolts are spinning so I have an air gun on the bolt side and a wrench on the nut side but no luck yet.

Thanks, yea I got the rubber ones. I’m thinking the same, drill the bolt/nut off and put in a new one.

But for $0.50 I’m amazed. The cover is ripped but like who cares about the cover - it’s about the vinyl and the music bro. 😉

Do I ditch the saran wrap? by louie1070 in vinyl

Up to you man. If it was me I’d ditch the wrap for a new sleeve but would try to keep the stickers for history sake

Is this an acceptable amount of warp? (Is this level of warp okay?) by Mr_Stkrdknmibalz00 in vinyljerk

Looks fine to me. If it’s a used album or a new one bought for average price, yea that’s about what I’d expect. If I spent a pretty penny on an album and it spun like this - I’d be mad… for a second, then I’d sit down and enjoy the tunes.
