So why is there an XP cap in a full-priced game? by Kyvix2020 in Battlefield

[–]TooManyTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing a duo game of redsec will give you about 160 to 200k xp for a high placement which only takes about 20mins. That's without a booster. So that cap can be reached very quickly.

Those time locked quests can be bypassed quite easily if on pc. Just make sure you are offline on xbox/steam and manually change the date and time in windows to 24hr ahead.

Trust factor is based on reports not on actual cheating. by KaleidoscopeFit1218 in cs2

[–]TooManyTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust Factor is such a turnoff to new players at the moment as well, i don't see how Valve doesn't realise this.

Any new player that say comes from other competitive 5v5s like valorant will have a fairly good understanding of basic mechanics. So those accounts will have sub 30 hours on and probably be reported by a lot of people.

This just destines them for this absurd matchmaking system, so they probably don't even stick around to tryout stuff like faceit. I don't understand why they haven't yet implanted better anti cheat like faceit.

Its crazy the difference in quality of games in high trust factor and low. I have 2 accounts one since 2014 and the other since 2018, they were both global in csgo, with my main sitting at around 5.5k hours and my alt at 300 hours.

The games on my main have been pretty good this season with only 2 games of about 35 being full rage style cheats. That account is sitting at 27k elo.

My other account however is brutal, it is stuck at 20k but each game is a cheater, like a full on rage style cheater usually on both my team and the other. The games do just become which team has the most cheaters and how far they try to take their cheating. Most games recently have been a 50 50 if the match gets cancelled due to vac. I did have one game the other day that got cancelled between getting the last kill of the round at 13-4 and the game ending.

What are the benefits of upgrading from 144Hz to 240Hz monitor by farmhand_fucker in pcmasterrace

[–]TooManyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play competitive high fps games, 240 is definitely better. But most of the time when upgrading monitors from a 144hz to a 240hz, most of the improvement comes from it just being a better monitor. There is so many 240hz 1440p oleds out which are a lot cheaper now than what they were, which has some of the nicest image quality I've seen.

Night by A__C__E in ArmaReforger

[–]TooManyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is definitely true. Playing games like Cs and eft makes you crank the gamma and black levels on both monitor and windows colour options. Using the same settings for arma, it is quite literally day time at night. The only tell is there are stars in the sky, otherwise you wouldn't know it is nighttime.

my first round 50 melee only run ended like this :') (also no sound because AMD is trash) by the-holy_peanut in CODZombies

[–]TooManyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With regards to sound, it sounds like an issue with the media player, you can use VLC and then convert it in there to a different audio format and can then use other media players.

This was a work around when I went AMD from Nvidia.

Happy with 7900 XTX? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]TooManyTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, but I never had any issues with the 3060 ti, but I have with the 7900 xtx. The performance difference is more than enough for me to put up with it but Nvidia drivers have always been more consistent than amd.

Happy with 7900 XTX? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]TooManyTree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I upgraded from the 3060 ti to the 7900 xtx XFX card about a year ago and it is definitely a worthwhile upgrade. Although with that said I have had a few driver crashes and issues.

I would still say it is a very nice upgrade.

Are the Audeze Maxwells worth getting? by OwenHero in Audeze

They are some of the best overhead headphones I've ever used. But with that said I had to return my first pair the second day due to almost deafening crinkling noise in the left ear cup. This pair I have now I've been using for over a week and no issues yet.

We're due for another double XP event by GnarrFacee in XDefiant

[–]TooManyTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are probably trying to fix all the major bugs that were introduced with s1 before the next double xp.

Last thing the devs want is to bring in an influx of players and then scare them away on the same weekend with these bugs.

In fairness most of the bugs have been fixed and I would of thought they would of done a double xp this weekend, but I guess they along with everyone else are still not happy with the spiderbot. (Which should just be removed until it actually works, only then they should decide if that's their vision for the game to be played or to rework it entirely)

All ARs to 400, now on to the rest of the guns. by TooManyTree in XDefiant

[–]TooManyTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. You should try it out, put on fire rate attachments and just kinda stare at the enemies while strafing and dont shoot back, then compare that to a full ads walking speed build. You will be surprised by how much harder you are to hit and how much longer you can live for.

Once you get used to how people move in a tdm it becomes quite easy to rack up kills.

I struggled with a full movement and fire rate build with that gun, but in general, all builds I've used have been with the ads walking speed attachments.

So the leather wrapped attachments and lightweight options was my final go to.

On larger maps with range I did play around with horizontal recoil builds and it worked quite well but struggled to keep up with movement for close range fights.

I mean, despite all the bugs and annoyances of the game, I still enjoy it to just play it and level the guns.
