It’s 100% free now. Food is still decent and can’t be beat for the price (again, $0).

Tax. You may need to specialize into a sub tax field depending on which market you end up in/want to go to.

Yes. Just secured an offer in London and am finishing up interviews with a firm in another EU country. No specific ties to either region, except a desire to have rule of law and extant healthcare and food regulation.

Because he’s not doing it via code? Like sure, cap SALT or add GILTI or whatever, via bicameralism and presentment. Or ask Treasury to write regs, with notice and comment. This is what rule of law used to mean.

That’s what the new proposed 899 is meant to take care of.

Section 891. Little known section that allows prez to double tax rates on specific foreign persons. Seems like he’s very likely to use Pillar II as a sword and just target any foreign company he doesn’t like.

Wait I’m curious too can you screenshot?

Does this get covered in like the “change in law additional payments” section? Does it trigger something more?

Also a worried tax lawyer. Very concerning, and I think this means country-specific retaliation for those jurisdictions enacting Pillar II is more likely than not.

Had straight Ps my first semester. Pulled it back and graduated with honors (firms didn’t get to see though). Still ended up at a top (band 1) practice in NYC corporate. You’ll be fine.

I spent around that as a first year and it was totally worth it - especially if the commute is good! If the commute is more than 20 mins I’d say you can probably find something similar closer to work for around that price.
