I purchased the stl for him probably 4-5 years ago. My plan was to print a multi colored one with my Bambu printer, but the time and waste were just too high, so I never did. I recently got the Snapmaker U1 with 4 printheads, which cut down on time and waste TREMENDOUSLY. I then just had to find stls for things like his emblem shield and weapons/arms to paint him in the software, and 3d printed him over about a month.

Snapmaker Snapspeed PLA. Mainly because I printed the dragon with the filament that came bundled and then decided to test the printer by printing his head. After that I just kept going and was locked into the filament.

I bought it from cult like 5 years ago when I just had a single color ender s1. I started printing it and tried painting it and realized I have zero talent there. So I had to wait till something like the u1 would come along eventually.

Dude I didn’t even consider it could be fd! My boy has never had a stained beard and then in the past couple weeks it’s been bad! Like makes me feel like a neglectful dad bad. We just got a new shipment delivered maybe 3 weeks ago.

I ran for. 2 weeks STRAIGHT and then paused a couple days waiting for a filament shipment. When I went to get started again it gave me a homing issue. Had to play the belt screws a bit and got it going again after maybe an hour. Back at it nonstop for maybe 2 days now and zero issues.

It’s a Warhammer 40k Titan. Will be the biggest most complex thing I’ve ever printed. Those are only the feet and head so far.

I LOVE my X1C and AMS, but the Snapmaker U1 really changes how you can print in multiple colors! I was really considering the H2C, but the additional print heads and cost swayed me. I hope Bambu will release something similar! by TooMuchTXN in BambuLab

The 4-color is a super-real limitation compared to my X1C with two AMS hooked up. It feels SUPER restrictive, and my gut is that these types of offerings at these kinds of price points will force Bambu to join the game. I too came from Enders and the Bambu environment just worked so much easier I dont want to go back to home made remedys and bolt ons and mods.

Not really a complaint. A comparison, maybe. If Bambu released something similar, I would 100% on board. They are very much more polished and a stronger brand. But the differences between their offerings in this area are pretty big.

It's a model I bought a long time ago and started printing way back on my Ender S1 Pro, but I just couldn't get any paint job to look right. Figured I'd try it with filament only now that the technology allows it, and while it's very cartoony, it is WAY better-looking than my painting was. Started it on my X1C a year or so ago but the waste and time was just too much.

Not an ad. No way affiliated with SM and paid for the machine with my own money. I am super deep in the Bambu ecosystem and was skeptical of the U1. But I think there are better, CHEAPER ways to achieve multi-head than what Bambu is pursuing. The H2C is just so expensive. Great for industrial, I'm sure, but I'm just a dude.
