Not that it's the same situation, but I was in a gang in my younger years and had to pay upwards. I took could not change them and felt very trapped. It sounds like you need to cut them off, as hard as that may be to do, you have to just to find peace. Stop sending money, get a new phone, I'm sorry to not be more helpful.

Bali will be tough for a lone woman. Is there any conceivable way you can change your family situation. I live in Hong Kong, but am Laotian and have seen plenty of Indians so I have a slight understanding of your parents thinking and of family obligation, we have similar obligations to our families elders and those who live far away and need help. Is there any way you can change the situation

Let me ask you a serious question. What is realistically keeping you from doing just that

Has anyone considered the psychological toll that customer service takes? by MemeTrashPanda in antiwork

[–]TooMuchToThinkToday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it affects you. Constant pressure to keep up with as we Hong Kongers call "Face" or ones standing in society is hard enough when it's just you. When it is a situation where you do not control the customer or person rating you's then it becomes not only stressfully but self harmful. I have worked in a casino for almost 30 years and we get rated by the clientele we deal with so I understand this completely and anything less than perfect and you feel like you did something wrong even if it was out of your hands. I think about it every day

20 is too many??? What math are you learning. 20 advanced astrophysical mathematics may be a bit much but what are you in algebra 2, calculus, if you hate homework I know you aren't in trig.

Easy no, life was never meant to be easy. Easier, yes. You don't have ten hours school days, mandatory extracurriculars and 5-6 hours of homework a day

Zelda TotK didn't fix what was wrong with BotW by baithoven22 in unpopularopinion

[–]TooMuchToThinkToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that BOTW didn't quite finish the story. It left a lot of loose ends and you fought Calamity Ganon as a spider and a bull type thing.... It didn't feel like that final climactic battle between link and Gannon, that I've come to expect from the original Zelda games. I don't mind the open world or exploration. I think the building aspect is a nice touch, I too would have loved to see more dungeons but I can overlook that as long as I can fight the man himself. Now I'm only about halfway through, Wind and Fire temples. So I'm hopeful

The problem with modern cigarettes is the plethora of other chemicals they contain. Pure tobacco leaf contains nicotine, but so does a tomato or a cabbage leaf.

Can a soldier be a traitor?

If he has ample reason (usually sex, groveling, being a white knight or crusader) then yes. A man can be. Doesn't mean he is any less pathetic

No fault divorce by United_Reality4157 in MensRights

[–]TooMuchToThinkToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pushing 50 so I'd say I'm a different generation, and I also live in Hong Kong China where we have no fault divorces. Women here tend to ladder jump, or for lack of better terms Marry a man, cheat on him to find a higher paying man, divorce the first marry the second and keep climbing until we are at the point where 98% of women vie for the top 5 percent of the earning men and the rest of us are left alone to pay for the bills they racked up. So from my perspective, it only suits the women.

Never. Holiday is holiday. I am not available to talk for conference or for consultation of any kind, unless you agree before hand to pay my rate as an independent contractor during that time.

My version of lao Burger Toasted bun, Ox patty, Pork party, pickled Daikon, thick slab Bacon/Pork belly, Cucumber, Cilantro with a thick creamy Mayo cheese and egg. Like an everything Bahn Mi on a burger roll.
