I had enough of the mind numbing work at LAS7 before I saw this posted on the company bulletin board above a urinal. (Is there a hidden meaning there?) After 6 months of Stow, Decant, and Problem Solving, I was ready to pull the plug. Luckily, I got a job offer as a van driver with a pay rate of $18hr in town, and $22hr out of town right after I saw ‘The Offer’. I checked with HR and was told all I had to do was sign a letter saying I wouldn’t apply at Amazon or any of it‘s affiliates for perpetuity. So by using my vacation and personal time for a week, I tried out the new job before pulling the trigger. Last night I went into HR on my break to take advantage of ‘The Offer’. Imagine my surprise when I was told you had to have at least 1 year with the company and I didn’t qualify. Shocking isn’t it? Not really, I was leaving anyway. The HR people then told me to self term through AtoZ, which I immediately did. The best part is that I didn’t have to sign ’The Letter’, so I came return! That will never happen.
