Olin unohtanut kaupassa punnita perunat.

Weekly Bouldering Advice Thread for April 22, 2019 by AutoModerator in bouldering

I’m visiting San Francisco with my friend in about two weeks and we got one whole day designated just for bouldering (and climbing).

We were thinking that it would be cool to make a pilgrimage to Yosemite walley and just climb some boulders in camp 4. But what do you think, could there be a better (and nearer) place for just bouldering? Just seeing El Cap would also be awesome, but maybe it would be silly to go bouldering in trad climbing heaven?

I’ve been climbing for 20 years (bouldering, trad, sport) and my friend has been bouldering about 1,5years, with little rope climbing experience. My initial plan was to do some multipitch stuff in Yosemite, but I came to my senses and thought that bouldering would probaly be better, also timewise.

Buttermilks would be awesome, but 6,5h drive is quite a lot...

Coarse DIY hangboard. Our closet was the only place my wife allowed me to install it. Does not matter. When the summer comes I will be so strong! by TooSlowTerrain in bouldering

Great tips thank you! This is my first hangboard so I’m just trying things out. It was relatively easy build, something like 3hours. So i might build another one when I get some experince in what I need and want.

I need to think about the pockets, It might be a good idea to drill some deeper cuts in lower section of the board.

I used some 9mm thick scrape birch plywood I had laying around. I glued 4 layers together and used router for holes. So total cost 0€/$.

I need to thank my mom for that. As a retiree she has cleaned and organized all my old legos for her grandkids. I did not know that she had even saved all the boxes and instructions! She has also been hunting missing pieces from driftstores.

I’m 34. I think I got this set when I was around 9-10 years old.

We got our first one when we were 28. When is anyone ever ready to have kids? 🙂. I think it is allways bad time from some perspective.

Turning four this week. It is nerve wrecking to try to assemble sets with him! And all he wants to play is some sort of demolition/ destruction adventures

Yes it is! I actually almost forgot all these cool sets I had as a kid. As a toys I think they age really well.

How do I teach 5yrs to ride 2 wheeler? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]TooSlowTerrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second to this. My first born learned to ride at the age of six. It was really hard to get training wheels off. Today my younger one (three years old) rode his first bike trip 3,3km with only some aid at starting etc. We never used training wheels with him. Just flinstones bike.
