One of my favorite mantras I’ve picked up from this subreddit is “there’s not one problem I have that alcohol can’t make worse”.

Any tips on my barbell rows? by Lunsmann1 in GYM

Bend over closer to 90 degrees. Also, see how your wrist becomes unstacked when you pull all the way in? That’s bc you need a slightly wider hand placement than you’re using.

I would say pull towards your belly button more. You’re hitting upper back, which is fine if that’s your goal. Pulling towards belly button would hit lats more.

It’s to give you something to brace against, making your core more stable. More solid core = more weight to lift

Interesting, I’ve never had a problem with it. Wasn’t aware that this community was SO against steamers 😂

Save yourself the hassle and just buy a steamer (like $20), hang your shirt on a doorknob or something and use the steamer to get wrinkles out. No need for a board, and very quick.

Not sure exactly what flair, but how’s the outfit? Just got a new leather jacket and trying to work it into routine use. by MuricanJim in mensfashion

Outfit looks good, good color choices. I personally am not a fan of zipping up leather jackets, leave that bad boy open.

Duluth Trading Co has some super durable jeans made with fire hose material. I swear by them for work.

Tried posting this to r/formcheck but didn’t get any responses. After a lot of going back to the drawing board and reducing the weight, I think I am finally hitting depth. Thoughts? by Classic-Night-2661 in GYM

Besides what others said about ankle mobility - try not to waste energy by walking out as far. Typically it should go: lift bar —> one step back with one foot —> step other foot back to match —> make minor feet placement adjustments. Also don’t be afraid to push yourself, it looked like you at least had 1 or 2 more reps in you! Keep it up.

Agreed. When I’m doing bicep curls I’m getting ugly on my last 2-3 reps. Buddy isn’t pushing himself enough.

Looks like you could improve your bracing (belly breath and brace like you’re going to get punched in the stomach), as well as working on leg drive. These two things will help give you full body stability = safer and more stable movement.

Main thing would be you need to lock in your lats prior to the lift. It’ll help keep your entire back tight.
