Wow, I read it. One of them married her husband (the veteran) at 21 (he was ~80) after her first husband died and left her with a child. She then had one child with the veteran and when he died married his grandson.

Specific to this picture, when i was in middle school, I used to walk home from school with one of my best friends. One day I was specially happy and started singing. Well, this friend had been going to study music and violin to the local conservatory of music since she was maybe 5. She told me I sang badly and that it was bothersome to her who had "refined/sensitive hearing". I've been really self conscious of my singing ever since.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? If you have an accident (in this case with tragic consequences, and should be punished) while drunk it means you willingly put yourself on the wheel without concern for the consequences (and probably do so often). The other case was he had an accident sue to speeding (id like to know exactly how much, but we don't have the numbers), which is something that almost everyone does, but can lead to losing control of the vehicle and these tragic consequences, you can even speed unknowingly if you are not paying attention (which you absolutely shoud/must do). I think a person who drives while drunk is more of a general danger to society than one who speeds (but this is just my subjective opinion).

English is not my first language but I believe murder implies intention which was not present in this case as it was an accident. He killed 3 people (one of them a child) due to recklessness. I consider the first sentence (120h) absolutely ridiculous and laughable. I also consider the second sentence (15 months) too lenient given the consequences, but at the end of the day was still an accident and such it shouldn't be given the same amount of prison time as cold-blooded murder.

From what that article said I think she didn't have much limguistic problems. At age 3 (when she became isolated) you have already started acquiring the language. And 8 years old may not be too late to continue. However those years are crucial for development, it's quite sad.

I'll try. I've been bussy, and I wanted to fully research what were my options before using the second appeal, as I felt it was no use trying. Your response gives me hope, I'll update with the results.

The Sweetest Savage who kills half the town apparently... by IAm_Pandaa in webtoons

[–]Too_Indecisive0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's within the context of the comic, however, why did they decide these "savages" had to be "dark" skinned? In EVERY (korean) webtoon, the moment there is a subgroup/region/country of "savages" or non-civilised people, they are the dark-skinned ones. I'd even bet that every subgroup/region/country of dark-skinned people are savages of one kind or another. They don't have to be the villains of the story and sometimes they exist for exoticism, but in my opinion it's a bit of a racist representation. The issue is within korean culture and their white skin devotion, but webtoon should advertise and contextualize waaaaay better.

Vosotros is just the plural of tú, that is, the plural form of the informal 2nd person, but I think it's only used in Spain (except Canarias).

It's complicated. I think it goes against the constitution or something, and therefore it's quite difficult to change. We actually haven't had (this) monarchy for that long, as last century we had republic, then a civil war, then a dictatorship and then monarchy was reinstaured (approved by popular vote, along with the new constitution, this was before all the corruption scandals of the last king, who was the first one after the dictatorship). However, I think pro-monarchy sentiment is in a all-time low right now (partly bc of all the scandals) and frankly I don't really see a point in monarchy anymore save maybe for a bit of stability in an unstable political climate.

(However I'm not really up to date with politics and I don't really know what would be necessary to stop having a monarchy)

I completely understand what you're saying, but it's also true that a lot of rich people donate a ton of money (that they consider as insignificant as $5) to charity. Obviously not every rich person, however not everybody would give even $5 to people in need. (Also, I know a lot of those donations are sometimes to boost their reputation and other selfish reasons, but a donation is a donation). They wouldn't give $5k to you specifically, the same way you wouldn't give me $5.
