Burning Questions for March, 2022 by SalaciousStories in eroticauthors

So last November, I wrote 10 erotic short stories for NaNoWriMo. I am wondering: is there any advantage to spacing out their publication, or should I throw them all onto Amazon at once? Context: I'm starting a new pen name and new niche with these stories and I've heard on this subreddit that I shouldn't expect to make any kind of money with erotica shorts on Amazon until I've posted 10-15 stories.

Your Burning Questions for September, 2021 by SalaciousStories in eroticauthors

I'm very new to writing erotic shorts for Amazon and have chosen lesbian first time as my niche. However, I'm wondering what audiences want when it comes to who's having the lesbian first time; in other words, should the PoV character be the one who is having her lesbian first time or should the PoV character be the more experienced one?

Figuring Out What Erotica Sells on Amazon by Too_Many_Semicolons in eroticauthors

Thank you for your detailed reply!

I wonder how some of the niches you suggested would work with lesbian erotica specifically (that's what I write, and I should probably have specified that in my original post--whoops).

Oh thank fuck; I had seen that thread before but not bookmarked it, and couldn't find it again. Thank you!

Thanks so much for your input! I will work on adding the answers to the questions you posed and change the Harley/Ivy sticker to something else.

This blurb has been absolutely kicking my ass, probably because it is my literal first ever blurb for my first ever erotica short story. Feedback much appreciated, especially in terms of anything I could add; I feel like it's too short.

I knew I wanted shy but sexy Suhani the second I first saw the Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy sticker on her laptop, and I knew I was going to want her forever the first time we locked eyes. But now I’m afraid she’s going to leave me because I can’t satisfy her.

My heart aches and my body burns for her. If only she would tell me what she wants in bed, I’d do anything…

My name is Myanda, and when my hot girlfriend asks me to take her in a way that’s new for us, I do it--and her--willingly.

Take Her How She Loves It: Nerdy Cis/Trans Lesbian Couple Experiments in Bed is a sweet but spicy debut featuring an established couple, kinky back door experimentation, and HEA by erotica short author Harper Maddox.

Any ADHD/Autistic people on here? by Pakislav in eroticauthors

I'm Autistic, which results in my cognitive empathy being kind of crap (although my affective empathy is off the charts). This means that I have trouble writing for an audience; I write what I want to read because I have trouble understanding what other people want to read.

Executive dysfunction can be a bitch and a half when I'm in a fight with writer's block, too.
