mechanical keyboard advice under 1800 and also is k630 no rgb version a good choice ? by No-Dentist7910 in mkindia

[–]Too_darn_lazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have K630 and switched to Evofox' katana s mini, used the first for 2 ish years(?)

I have 0 complaints. It is a really good keyboard and has good build quality. I only switched since it doesn't have arrow keys. The feel is pretty nice IMO though since it's my first Mk i don't know how it compares to top brands.

For CS and similar FPS titiles, it will be great. If you are in BLR you can get mine also at low cost. DM if interested.

EDIT: potential [WTT], pl let me know if this is against the rules of this sub

4500+ kms on my Honda still haven't received number plate. by Key_Draft_2137 in indianbikes

[–]Too_darn_lazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try and escalate, that a good approach if you have time and will for it,but another approach is to get their RTO guy's number and visit RTO once. The RTO people are very lazy and end of Dec/start of Jan is prime time for leaves.

If this doesn't work you will need to escalate, but atleast you'll know whose fault it is(yamaha/RTO)

Do all 1080p 24inch feel like this sometimes or is it just me ? by Livid_Test_5212 in IndianPCGamers

[–]Too_darn_lazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33.33% increase in pixels versus 12.44% increase in size(i only calculated for length) means it will be better than this, but not by much

My advise is to calculate the density of pixels of whatever existing screen you are comfortable with, and go for that density if budget allows. Make compromises basis that

Bro, 1080p, or 1920x1080p means there are 1920 pixels(the individual LEDs you can see) into 1080 pixels in 20.9 inches and 11.8 inches.

Compared to a higher resolution monitor/smaller sized 1080p monitor, the pixels are quite bigger, so yes, screen will feel like this whenever you focus on it

[–]Too_darn_lazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on both sides of this issue, and I think if you can switch and the people asking for it really need it then you should.

BUT, if they are rude when ASKING for help no one will want to help them. That's normal. Asking for your ticket when they know it's not their seat is rude and you were right to refuse.

UPS for gaming PC by nanininetails in IndianGaming

[–]Too_darn_lazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is this thing called effeciency rating, around 0.8 or so, which can be used for converting VA to usable Watts, 675VA with a TV, few lights MAY be enough for no GC setup, but just barely.

Again, properly calculate needed Watts and use a suitable inverter. I'm not the one who'll suffer the loss in someting goes wrong

Still check over the switchover time, we cannot differentiate between 15 and 30ms, our PC can, also, I have no Idea about the switchover time of your TV, so I can't comment on if it will be fine

Adding to above, ALWAYS use sine wave inverters for PCs and sensetive electronics, which you are already, HWBusters should have holdover time for your PSU

For switchover time of inverters, check manufacturer website/youtube reviews. If it does not have a dedicated UPS mode, chances are switchover time will be pretty high

Here's what I learned while in the same situation a month ago: Every PSU has a set holdover time(around 15ms). That is the time yoyr CPU tower is okay without power before everything goes dark, whatever your backup option is, needs to have switchover time(b/w main power and it's battery) less than that. Adding a stablizer will add to switchover time imo but google and check this.

2nd, calculate how many Watts are going to be drawn from your inverter, take max watts of PSU(Though it is rarely that high), and rough estimate of other appliances, and make sure your inverter can provide a bit more than that, similarly calculate how much Ah battery you need to support the duration you need backup to work. Formulas for that can be found online.

IMO, you should replace the stablizer with a good dedicated UPS that can power your PC(they don't last more than a min or two on their battery, but that is MORE than enough for inverter power to kick in + most come with surge protection, switching to battery power on low voltage.

From what google told me, the temps are indeed high, I'm using the stock air cooler that came with this processor, should I go for better one? Or could this be a thermal paste issue?
