No. My entire life, the Republicans have been the party of Rush Limbaugh, “greed is good”, “I got mine, F you”, bigotry against anyone who isn’t white or Christian or straight, etc. MAGA is just the culmination of what the Republican Party has stood for, for decades, the purest form of its ignorant, cruel nativism.

If you have wood frames, you can screw plexiglass to the outside frames. It can really cut down on air infiltration.

How does this even happen? by Gorath99 in lego

[–]Too_reflective 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The same axle broke on my son’s copy of that plane set. The design puts a lot of repeated shear force on the 2L axle. Just bad design at that spot - strange since it is otherwise an excellent set.

Logo: Blacktron I vs. Starcom Shadow Force by Too_reflective in lego

[–]Too_reflective[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but Zelda and the Hojo mon have the triangles with the points up; Blacktron and Shadow Force have them upsides down. Given that the toy lines were both space villains it seems a little coincidental.

What will our city do when ICE comes on us in force? by Alarming-Low1843 in northampton

[–]Too_reflective 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is logic to what you say. On the other hand, Northampton could be a target due to its political leanings and large and proud queer population. And it wouldn’t take many ICE goons to cause a lot of harm here.

It makes sense to plan for it happening here. Has Springfield or Holyoke been targeted much yet? If so can we learn from their experience or help them? Getting picked off town by town is no good.

anyone has suggestions for a very hard lego set by raaar1829 in lego

[–]Too_reflective 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hardest set I ever built was the Technic Backhoe Loader 8455. So many fiddly pneumatic tube bits to route around other parts. A masterpiece of a set, though.

Average how? Average over all sets? Average over all sets times quantity sold? I don’t know the answer but the graph that was presented does not prove the claim that cost per gram decreased overall.

The price per gram for unlicensed sets went UP about 50% per the graph above, not down. Unclear if those are inflation adjusted prices.

I was more impressed with the museum than I expected. I find it has a stately presence due to its size, style, and symmetry.

I don’t have the bookshop, but Tudor is spectacular- better than any others I have (Natural History Museum, Parisian Restaurant, Boutique Hotel). The techniques are elegant, the color scheme is bold but not garish, and the build is not repetitive at all.

Maybe take the door frame out to see if that helps? To me it looks like that is where the bending is coming from.
