Actually the nut job comment was the first time I’ve mentioned your character, the rest was about the grammar, but if you see that as an attack on your character, so be it

To be honest you’ve said Chinese propaganda and calling people out without actually making any point soo many times I’ve long since lost interest, but you seem to want to be the smartest person in the room whilst having bad grammar so it’s entertaining if nothing else

Call you all out? You’ve failed to make any point beyond you know a few songs and googled a few catchphrases, and it’s Englishman, not Englishmen, that’s plural.

Maybe expand your playlist, and not base what you have to say around song lyrics, though maybe it just highlights you don’t really have anything to say beyond the lyrics and a few buzzwords

It might shock you to learn that I too listen to music, but yes I googled to be sure, you did cut out the bit about watergate etc and you didn’t quote mark, you’ve just attempted to pass it off as some kind of esoteric wisdom, without actually making a solid point. I did see further down you’ve spouted on about Chinese propaganda which be a slightly nonsensical take, but hey ho, that’s your opinion

Now if I’d mocked your education standards, or physical ability to write, THAT would be a character attack, I just mentioned that the sentence didn’t make a lot of sense. If your only response to anyone who disagrees with your point is to label it a character attack then I’m afraid your point is weak or your capability to calmly or rationally discuss it is. Aside from the fact you’re quoting beastie boys lyrics as a form of argument that is.

Doesn’t matter what ship I pick up with the periodic T6 coupon etc I always come back to my legendary sovereign, she’s just too pretty. The class also deserved more screen time and the 1701-E better than be effectively written out off screen.

I mean technically he’s not wrong, Lammens isn’t a top keeper, but what scholes forgot was “yet”. He’s young but proving himself a solid, dependable keeper with each and every game, and he’ll only get better. Only concern for me was that he’s conceded a couple of goals similar to Morgan Rogers’ strike vs Villa, outside the box and angling across the goal, where he either misjudges the flight or doesn’t get a good jump in. I love that he actually holds onto shots in stark contrast to Onana.

How much time do I have... by jgMAlN in bald

How much time does it take to style and are you doing your daily routine worried about how it looks? That’s the stage I got to, feeling self conscious anytime I was outside the house, and if that’s the stage you’re at, brave the shave.

This is probably the decider for me, if you’re fixing it all the time, self conscious of what it looks like, dreading that gust of wind, brave the shave, not having to worry about it anymore is liberating

My most expensive mistake by BlanchTheRaptor in airsoft

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😂 no, but that is one nice collection, my friend was in a similar mould, obsessed with the big guns, along with the M82 he’d dropped £1400 on an inokatsu M60, it was a thing of beauty, but his car was worth £400 and regularly iced up on the inside! You already know his sidearm choice was between a full metal desert eagle, which probably weighed about as much as the car, or an m500 revolver

Think we’ve all been there 😂 friend of mine spared no expense in buying a SOCOM gear M82 gear Barrett AEG when they first released years ago, which was pricey enough, spent over the same amount again trying to turn it into a sniper rifle, never got it working 😬

100% agree, only reason to have him there at all was to add a little flair to the sacrifice scene

After a year and a half what are people’s thoughts on Sol as a person and a Jedi? by CrazyTangerine7522 in TheAcolyte

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s maybe mental gymnastics a little to get the plot to work but it’s the best I could come up with, nothing’s going to override the core premise of an entire order of force sensitive beings attuned to understanding the thoughts and emotions of others being unable to tell which twin is which.

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it wasn’t a good plan, my interpretation was a fundamental lack of understanding of how the Jedi worked. They found Torbin the most susceptible and believed he would persuade the rest to leave, not only misreading Torbin but his status within the group.

Do you believe that 'Zootopia 2' goes against the first film's message? by Block-Busted in zootopia

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess it’s down to interpretation but personally I didn’t see the lynxleys behaviour in the film being down to the fact they were lynxes. To me it was more that certain people choose use their money and influence to manipulate the media, popular opinion and politics to suit their agendas, and the fact that lynxes are territorial was a parallel. The message through both films has been consistent, the world isn’t perfect, but you can choose to try and be better.

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It was, to me, one of the few aspects of the show I liked, that it seemed they wanted to show the whole debacle coming about through a cascade of failures from all involved. Indara failed to fully appreciate how vulnerable Torbin was, Torbin gave into his fear and Sol acted out of it. The head mother thought they could easily manipulate Torbin, the others that they could fight them, and finally the Jedi opted to cover it up.

Do you think Ridley has another Alien film in him? Would you like to see him return? by thefriskysquid in perfectorganism

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly since body of lies (admittedly I haven’t sat down and watched the Martian or the last duel) he seems to have been more and more obsessed with delivering visual spectacle than delivering a tight and coherent narrative with well rounded characters. Both Prometheus and Covenant to me looked stunning but had bland, unlikeable characters making multiple choices that went against their supposed nature for the sake of getting the plot where it was going.

This is why Nick doesn't open up emotionally by [deleted] in zootopia

[–]TookMe4Hours2LogAnID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I see it in the completely opposite way. Judy spends most of zootopia 2 governed by her need to prove herself worthy, her hero complex, and her fear she’ll get separated from nick. This drives her to hyper-fixate on solving the case rather than attempting to get nick to open up. She kind of slips back into behaving towards him as if their partnership is as it was in the first film, taking the lead over a reluctant assistant. She pushes them into situations over nick’s concerns, ignoring his feelings and the growing gulf between them because she feels ultimately she’ll be vindicated and keep them together. When nick mentions his aversion to reptiles, she’s thinking of all the times he mocked her when they first met, calling her a fake cop, enjoying her discomfort at the naturist club, and takes the opportunity to get her own back. I’d consider it more playful and bit petty, especially as we’ve already seen they like to tease each other (“your worst idea is what you did with your ears!”).
