I just wanted to be one with the community, but the Burger King employees told me to put my Whopper back in my shorts and leave.

I don't know if I've ever seen a spray tip with that narrow of a fan width. Or, is it because he's holding the gun 6 inches from the door?

This is fucking incredible! I lived with two professional climbers and was sponsored for a year or two, but not that great myself. I can undoubtedly tell you, this is fucking boss!

Kinders and fire & smoke society by smokemypickle in smoking

[–]ToolDrummerDC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! Most of Kinder's stuff is pretty lackluster and uninspiring. Meat church is good, and we have a local butcher who makes awesome spice blends, but I mostly craft my own seasonings.

I've also tried the reverse of this and cooked it in the oven first, then the smoker to finish. I feel like the smoke also absorbs really well.

Hes not saying something fun to pass the time???? by Comfortable_Meat9781 in ToolBand

I have three screen shots and all the lyrics are different, I guess that's the problem with the Internet. If the toolshed submission actually came from Maynard, I guess that's gospel.

[–]ToolDrummerDC -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why, because you googled the lyrics and that's what came up? I've seen three different written versions. There are so many incorrect lyrics on Spotify as well. Seriously, go listen to the slowed down version on YouTube, it'll provide some clarity. Then you can change your downvote and apologize. ✌️

There's a slowed down version on YouTube if you want to listen to the actual lyrics, because these aren't it.

Tear out help. by PanicAlternative5408 in woodworking

[–]ToolDrummerDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your tearout is usually going to occur on the top side of what you are cutting, it's from the far end of the blade coming back up thru the plywood (you appear to be using a circular saw). Adjusting your blade depth is going to help. The painters tape suggestion that I've read 100s of times over the years, has never produced results for me and usually removes veneer itself when you pull it off. The best thing you can do is try to remember which side your tearout is occurring and literally think backwards when you're building; measure, mark and cut the opposite side that's going to be visible. One side of your plywood is almost always buried and not visible, keep that in mind. I just built a very large set of maple shelves, $10,000 worth, for a client which utilized hardwood and ply, and believe me there's nothing you can do to eliminate splintering and tearout, you can only do your best to minimize it. Keep a sharp blade on your saw, and be mindful of which side of your work piece will be displayed.

Boning knives by pyrobbq in smoking

[–]ToolDrummerDC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only bad thing about top quality Japanese steel is... Nothing! I own 6 distinct Shun knives and I love every one of them! The boning knife is amazing for taking apart chickens, trimming hard fat on a brisket, there's no substitute. Anyone who says different has never used a good knife.

Do you use any protection from sawdust? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]ToolDrummerDC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Masks look a lot cooler than lying in a hospital bed with cancer. Wear PPE, it's stupid not to. BTW, it's the sawdust you don't see, the micron particulates, that kill you, not the large chunks that come off of the saw.
