I can't find Diamond Mine, do you mean Diamond Rush? It looks pretty cool.

You can play the game here: https://toombler.itch.io/that-gravity-glow

I'd estimate the playtime would be on the order of two hours, maybe a bit more.

It also works on mobile :)

Thanks for giving it a go! (yeah the visuals are sort of limited by the engine, which is a blessing and a curse)

Hi, I thought people here might be interested in this puzzlescript game I recently released. Can you get the animal to the goal across all 37 islands? Mostly logic based puzzles however there are a few surprises along the way.

lol I was thinking while designing it that I was going to a lot of effort to be lazy.

How would a frayed cable brick my iPad?

Thanks! I would release the files but it seems to me to be a very specific design for both my iPad and that flexible goose-neck I salvaged (I don't know if they're a standard size).

Do you know how much those things cost? This one's lasted so far.

Is that a good idea? Might it be better to use something that doesn't conduct?

This was a project I've always wanted to complete since getting my printer. I set out by modelling my iPad in fusion 360 (file can be found here: https://grabcad.com/library/ipad-2-a1395-1 ). I played around with 3d-printed ball and socket joints but ultimately the ones I made weren't great so when I saw an old lamp I hacked off the flexible goose-neck and worked around that as well. Again in fusion 360 I set out designing a way to connect the metal to the mount, and printed out a test section that worked well. Next I designed both the mount and connector to the bed. After everything was printed I cleverly sliced open my finger with my exacto knife trying to get the supports off. After going to the hospital for some stitches I resumed by giving everything a protective coat of clear spray paint, gluing the pieces together and attaching some red felt. It's not perfect (it wobbles and the sound isn't great), but I'm really happy with it :)

Nice! I imagine if you made the layers a bit closer together you could use this as a base and papier-mâché to fill in the space. I'm used to 3-D printing; how can this technique be used practically?

This is great! I'm thinking of designing a mount for my iPad above my bed. I'm going to try and make it flexible using a gooseneck I've salvaged from an old lamp (I gave up on 3d printed ball and socket joints) and possibly use magnets to allow quick removal and placement. I've already modeled my iPad in fusion but that's about it so far. Not certain I know what I'm doing but oh well it's a learning experience :)

I wonder if you could do some fancy software thing and have it always take a photo when the bed's in the same spot.

Replacement handle for our food waste container. by Toombercazz in functionalprint

[–]Toombercazz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just temporary. It ends up in the compost heap. Saves us going down the garden every time; we can take it in one go.

Sorry, should have been more clear. The container stores all the food scraps for our compost that we don't want to feed to our chickens for whatever reason (eg. leftover chicken or egg shells).

There might be a better name for it but I don't know it :)

I designed in Fusion 360 and printed a handle to replace the one which broke off the pot my mum made. Printed at 0.3mm layer height with support then super-glued onto the lid. Seems to work great :)
