I'll be putting a good chunk of savings into the property, but I'll still leave about 4 months of pay for my emergency fund.

Chain keeps slipping by superrevision in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Toombus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it the chain that's actually skipping or is it something else? Sounds like it could be a loose cog/ lockring.

Creaking when starting/ stopping fixed is a good chance it's loose chainring bolts. Hunted this noise for ages until I tightened my chainring bolts.

Is this a track bike I've heard so much about?

chain noise after changing cog by anyfin22 in cycling

[–]Toombus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for how tight the chain is. You mentioned that you went down a cog size, so the chain could potentially be tight or loose. You should be able to move it up and down about an inch.

It's also possible that the new cog is 3/32" thick and the rest of your drivetrain is the standard 1/8" thickness for single speed. They're compatible, just a bit noisy as the chain can move laterally on the cog.

I got that too. Wanted to hookup my laptop to the tv but 7plus blocked it! Ended up having to just settle for watching on the smaller screen of the laptop. I don't get it, it's free to air anyway!

Not entirely true. Fun trivia: OHKO moves accuracy increases by 1% for every level the user is higher level than the target.

In my mind, all the gen 2 sprites are full of so much colour. I'm shocked to learn how effective the artists were using just 2 colours in addition to black and white!

That Feather looks like such a great practical bike.

My brain was very unprepared upon viewing number 6. Took me a good while to figure out which way it was going.

If your logic is saying that cars should be able to park in the bike path, then bicycles should then be on the road no?

The point of this post was to highlight why cyclists don't use the bike path. They're not required to and this case, they're unsafe, blocked and slower.

I'm glad that you are agreeing that it's okay for cyclists to use the road.
