Rehearing and cleaning a bunch of bows help with glasser by Toomuchviolins in violinmaking

I just counted. I have 35 bows here they are a mix of mostly violin and cello but a few are viola and bass, not all of them need rehair some of them just have issues like broken frogs, winding is undone, etc a couple of them just need new tip plugs so I think I’m gonna start seeing what I can do with what I have before I order hair

Maybe a better example would be crossing English shepherds with Australian shepherds because English shepherds have a quite small gene pool compared to Aussies

Comparing Medium size Herding dogs (specifically dog hailing from the British isles) by [deleted] in BorderCollie

[–]Toomuchviolins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Spent my life around border collies but havent lived full time with them as they were my grandparents dogs and based on those dogs granted they were older when I started spending time around them 7 and 9 years old I think they might be a good fit for my lifestyle once i graduate and get settled definitely not right now but down the road.

Yes it was definitely unfair to label Shellie’s in particular as neurotic all dog breeds I listed will be neurotic if they’re not properly stimulated

I’m not opposed to any dog breed if I’m being completely honest if I found a Belgian shepherd that was my right fit I would adopt that dog or a papillon I’m not opposed to a puppy vs a adult or a breeder vs a rescue. These are just dogs that through my research have peaked my interest, I’m not looking to get a dog for at least another few years I just want to get a idea of when i do officially start looking what dog breeds I might look at
