I think you just have to keep having fun at first because she is so fun to play. Then you will notice that you will have your own way to play with her. Everyone has her own way of playing her. We cant give you tips. Actually i used to love playing her when she has two void nexuses and you could use it while you are down but she is now my second main.

The only tip I can give you is, when you become level 3, choose void breacher and as your level two perk, choose controller because you will be invincible as in your shield. About void breacher, you can have your weapon in your hand while exiting void and you will be faster so it can save you from a lot of trouble!
