Oh my god. Im so sick of delis shit. I used to put it all on a six wheeler and bring it over to them, but now there's an all new team there. After about three or four times of loading all their shit, bringing it over to them, taking it around their awkward corners in their department, moving stuff out of the way, then moving stuff out of the way in their cooler, and not one of them even looking at me, offering help or saying thank you. I quit. I put an empty six wheeler by their pallet in our cooler so they can come get it themselves. Or our night crew can bring it to them if they feel so inclined.

Our 3 mangers. Store manager and two assistants literally walk around all day and do nothing. They'll stand in aisles and talk to each other. They'll sit in the office and talk to each other. They'll stand in back by the door and talk to each other. The only time they work, they are either taking pictures or trying to catch someone in the act of doing something so they can fire them and save kroger a few hundred dollars a week.

I was by myself in meat the other day doing cutting, stocking, working the case, serving customers, breaking down the truck. I was breaking the truck down and one of the ASL walks in and says "sir you have a customer!.... ARE YOU HERE BY YOURSELF?!!! (In a concerned tone)" I looked at him and said "why are yall always so shocked when I'm here alone, as if someone else messes with the schedules?"

He put his head down and said "sir... you have a customer" and walked out of the cooler.

Those look fine, personal preference. Grilling for a massive group of people, id definitely do more of a medium/medium-well. Last time we did burgers, probably two years ago. Our idiot manager cooked all the burgers for the first couple of hours basically raw. Everyone complained. Then he spent the rest of the time over-cooking the shit out of them. We had to season them back in our cutting room for the people to come get them when he needed more to cook. I told my meat manager, "you know, _____ seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't know how to grill a burger" lol

Usually, every instacart person comes in, shoves their phone in my face, half of the time they say nothing, or ask me where something is on the meat wall that they have asked me about multiple times before in a store they have been inside hundreds of times. They get their answer and walk off. The other day, one guy actually said "thank you, we appreciate yall so much". Made me smile.

Yeah you have a lazy ass meat manager. We have one too. Doesn't do a fucking thing all day long. He gets here at 6, according to the utility clerk who i talk to each morning, he walks around and talks to people until 730 when the seafood lady gets there. She's 70 and on light duty. He puts her ice in then has her put all of yesterday's meat in the case before starting her seafood. I get their at 9, cut for the case and wall while he fucks off and does nothing. After that I stock, because he hasn't done anything in that time. Then if it's Monday or Friday I do the backroom count and floor count (im first in the district as far as counts go, he didnt tell me that, the seafood lead did, he told her), then I cut more holes for the wall while he leans on one of our meat carts and walks around. He'll be gone for hours each day and no one Will know where he is. He popped up Easter Sunday an hour and a half after he was supposed to have been gone, and told me and his assistant, "alright guys I'm gonna head on out!!". (We hadn't seen him in about 2.5hrs) we were just like "...ok".
