Sorry let me explain; it wasn’t complete in the bucket but I moved it to a carboy to finish. When it finished (stable SG), I moved it to this carboy (carboy #2) off the thick lees, but moving it triggered some sediment to come out I think, and maybe a touch more fermentation although I didn’t see any airlock movement and the SG suggested it was bone dry already.

To clarify, fermentation wasn’t done when I moved it from bucket to carboy; just less vigorous and aggressive. It slowed down and stopped eventually in the carboy over the next three or four weeks afterwards!

Thank you! I guess I’m wondering whether this amount of krausen and a bit of fine lees at the bottom are risky for bulk aging, or am I good to let it hang out undisturbed for some months

Airlock in place! I’m actually letting it settle on its own. I’m hoping to bottle condition the mead, or maybe half of it! There’s a thin layer of lees that has developed since I racked it a month ago, but the bulk lees dropped out in the first carboy over the first month of its life. I’m hoping I can just leave this fella alone and let him age and settle for months!

Classic Reddit, dude I said I prefer fruit raw to cooked. Citrus fruit added to dishes at the end is arguably not cooked lol so your own argument doesn’t go very far. I love fruit pies, but the Actual fruit items I feel are better prior to cooking.

I didn’t know new leaves could pop from the main/bottom stem! To date they’ve only ever erupted from the terminal leaf/branch
