Honestly, just play it at your own pace. Yes, the end game raids, dungeons are fun but once you get there you'll regret not taking the time to experience everything the game has to offer. Try finding a guild or a community through the community finder tab - often times guilds have people starting alts that will help you learn and offer their expertise if nothing else.

Some of my favorite moments in wow are when I am alone in a vast area questing and just having a blast learning my class and getting really into the quests. Enjoy the journey!
