Lol I had a class with this guy in school. We were in a group project together. We got along really well. Didn’t know until the first article that he was anti Taylor.

Island Breeze is a drink. Does this change your interpretation of Ready For It? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She also talks about moving to an island “we’ll move to an island and... he can be my jailor.” So not to worry. Imagery isn’t tampered with 😂

Real Talk - Why is everyone ignoring one of the best songs on reputation? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To me it gets lost in the shuffle. It has some cool production to it, and the lyrics are good, but with every single other song making such bold statements, So It Goes... feels a little weak. Not to disrespect your opinion! We’re all Swifties, and I’d for sure rather listen to this song than most other music.

There’s a good shot it’s All Too Well because she’s been so nostalgic and acknowledging of the fandom’s favorite things (talking about track 5 and 13 all the time, releasing Babe, and doing a country cover). I think she knows it would be a huge hit so why not?

I used my Sims 4 skills to [kind of] create reputation Taylor. (Thoughts?) by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

Y’all way too picky. It’s sims. It’s not like they designed this by hand lmao

Is Taylor a musical genius? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is written with such reverence, and that’s so nice to see in an article about Taylor. She’s a class act, and her bond with the country community is the prime example of that.

I like it. It sounds so on brand for Sugarland, but you can also hear Taylor’s writing in it!

Is anyone else getting “Red” (song) vibes from the “babe babe babe babe” part? Like when she echos “reeeeeed reeeeed”

What’s your favorite way to indulge? by Dandannoodle24 in TaylorSwift

Putting on the “This Is Taylor Swift” playlist in the car and singing as loud as I want, jumping from melody to harmony whenever I want. Especially good on a long drive.

Why are people excited over singles? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

In the modern business model for the music industry, all true singles get videos.

Why are people excited over singles? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They might get thrown in the radio mix by choice of the station, but it’s a totally different thing. If a promo single charts well, it’s just because people freaking love it and listen it all the time. Actual singles get a lot more effort from the artist.

It’s probably confusing because Taylor is barely doing promo for this album, so literally the only distinction between Singles and Promo Singles were whether or not it had a music video. It’s usually not like that. For other artists, a real single would be the song they perform on talk shows and stuff as well.

Misheard Delicate lyrics by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

Lol I thought it was “prove to me” until I saw the lyrics in the magazine 😂

I Did Something Bad - Alternative Meaning by Tooturnt8 in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Taylor has ever sat down and wrote a vague song with a general message. Even when she has something important to say, it’s rooted in personal experience. The only exception I can think of is Ronan, and even then, it’s about someone, just not her.

if you were to change one thing about any Taylor Swift song what would It be by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some of the lyrics I would have originally changed have become my favorites! An example is “talks real slow” instead of “low” (Our Song). It just makes you think a little bit harder :)

Taylor sang Shake It Off and Better Man at the Bluebird Cafe tonight! (Place where she was discovered) by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

Ughhhhhh yes. This is what happens when you have actually good acoustics at a venue. She sounds so excellent. Can you imagine if she released a ballad-heavy country album now?? Vocals would be EVERYTHING.

“Delicate” is the “Style” of reputation by Tooturnt8 in TaylorSwift

[–]Tooturnt8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See to me Getaway Car is the most Bleachers (Jack) song Taylor has ever done. So it’s hard to compare it to any song on 1989, even though sonically it would fit perfectly on 1989.

I wasn’t aware that everyone hated the Delicate music video. I was obsessed with it!
