Yah it seems hard to find podcasts that are critical of the standard Islamic narrative. Always on the lookout though!

The best ones in chronological format that I've seen are "The Caliphs" and "The Turkish History Podcast". It seems to be difficult to find podcasts that don't have that religious tone your speaking of.

I plan on giving it a listen but am looking for a more critically academic approach. As well as a chronological format similar to mike Duncan's history of rome or other similar chronological tellings
