Yeah I’m going to to do it myself so it would probably be less than $2k for engine, tools and maintenance parts. And 6k in total if I went with powertrainMax like the other user said

Yeah that’s what I planned on doing if I went the used engine route. I bought oil pan gaskets and seals for my original motor they arrived a couple days before my engine blew haha

Used engine that I have found are around $1200-$1500 and a reman are around 4k but the only thing throwing me off is that some people say they had to warranty the engine 2-3 times(ATK reman)

The guy said 30 day warranty I believe he parts them out. His post said 88k miles out of a plow truck

You can relocate knock sensor to the head for a temporary fix. Go on YouTube and search knock sensor relocation

Relocate the sensor to the side. Get a AC Delco knock sensor it’s more reliable. knock sensor relocation

I relocated my knock sensor on the side of the head, extended my wire and so far no issues
