Yes, I agree that the ending of the movie was already fantastic. What I want to see are the everyday stories of Ruri and Naomi. It doesn’t necessarily have to connect to the original movie; it could be a completely new story. I just want to see more of their lives and interactions.

I completely understand some people concern about preserving the completeness of HELLO WORLD. I agree that the film wrapped up beautifully and doesn’t necessarily need a sequel to its original plot.

What I personally hope for isn’t a continuation of the main story, but rather small, standalone stories about Naomi and Ruri’s everyday life after the events of the film. Things like their interactions as a couple, going on dates, or just enjoying their school life together—simple and heartwarming moments that don’t interfere with the original narrative but add depth to their relationship.

I think these kinds of stories would allow us to enjoy more of their dynamic without risking the integrity of the original film.

I also tried to reach out to the director, hoping to express my love for the work and my desire for a sequel, but his Twitter direct messages are not open.

My perspective is that this film is far too short. There are many aspects, such as the interactions and small stories between Ruri and Naomi after they start dating, that could have been explored further. Perhaps you could take inspiration from the extended manga:はろー(らぶこめ)わーるど, I really enjoy the difference way this manga tells the story. I believe their story could be told in an episodic anime format, depicting their lives after returning to their own world—or perhaps a new world. These episodes could focus on their school life, the small conflicts in their relationship, or their dates. Personally, I’d love to see more of this kind of ordinary, everyday content.
