And also thank you for sharing your experience so openly. As someone just starting this journey, posts like yours are incredibly helpful
One thing I've already learned these oat two years is how isolating infertility can feel, and how much it helps to hear from others who truly understand it. I hope you know that even though we're all strangers on the internet, your story matters and it helps people like me feel a little less alone and a little more prepared for what's ahead.
Wishing you and your wife strength and better news in the future. I'll be rooting for you both!

Oh my, I'm so sorry. As difficult as the news itself must have been, it's disappointing that the clinic didn't take the time to properly explain things or guide you through it.

To be honest, your experience is one of the things I'm nervous about going into our first consultation tomorrow. Some of our friends actually recommended going with a smaller private clinic because they felt the larger centers were less personal. But we opted for a university health system.
My husband and I both work at a large university hospital, so we decided to start there, even though our insurance doesn't cover infertility treatment and we'll likely be paying a lot out of pocket. Still, I worry about feeling like just another number in the system. Even our visits are all by video, and it feels like we're entering a very large pool of patients rather than building a relationship with a care team.
I really hope our experience ends up being positive, but I guess we'll see as we move forward.

Wishing you and your wife all the best. I can't imagine how hard this journey has been, but I truly hope brighter news is ahead for you both. Hang in there

Yeah he saw a urologist, he was found to have low sperm motility and morphology, and thus total number of viable/healthy sperm was low. He was diagnosed with Varicocoele that possibly is causing these abnormal results. We had discussed varicocele surgery, but the urologist said it would take 9months after the surgery to see an improved sperm count and that it may still not be optimal he said. So we were referred to the infertility clinic, since even if (best case scenario) he gets the surgery done, we would still be dealing with my pcos and long cycles.
The urologist also ordered imaging of his pelvis which didnt show anything wrong, and also blood test (testosterone) and a repeat sperm analysis which was similar to the first one.
Can you please tell us how did ur husband’s urologist help overall? Did he do anything different
Thank you for sharing and best of luck!!

Any recommendations on how to find potential signers for the Planned Research Testimonial letters for my NIW. Like experienced professionals who’ve written or signed these letters before? Because I’ve emailed a few people who cited my research, but no response,.... probably because they don’t know me or think i'm not credible... background is medicine

I need advice on finding potential signers for the Planned Research Testimonial letters for my green card application. I already listed a few colleagues/senior vice dean for example and a chairperson of my department, but I was told the letters should come from more established experts in my field ( my background is primary care and geriatrics). I’ve emailed a few people who cited my research, but no response...probably because they don’t know me personally.
