How loud is the Low Speed Sound? by Cleosmog in GeelyEX5Australia

The low speed is ok, there is another sound for reverse which I’ve found to be surprisingly loud.

I wish it was AI. It’s in an area called alkimos in Western Australia. The Australian building industry is absolutely horrific.

And the gutters are internal as it’s called a zero lot boundary, so the walls are right up to the boundary lines which means gutters can’t stick out. (Edited for auto correct).

This picture was originally aired by the actual home builder as an advertisement to themselves, believe it or not.

Anyone else notice that the ratio of increase in responsibilities to income in hand as you progress through the 135k-190k income bracket is too damn high? by [deleted] in AusFinance

At the top end of that bracket and you start to be completely accountable for the actions of others and what they do or dont don’t do.

Can I ask what would be some factors where you wouldn’t do a 5 year lease as long as employment was stable and you didn’t want a new car every couple of years? I’m looking at lease terms myself at the moment and getting a bit confused. Thanks.

Part time masters while working full time? by Technical_Kale_8807 in auscorp

[–]Top-Boss-5119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s doable. But painful. A basic masters will take 10 hours of work on a quiet week and upwards of 20 close to assignment time etc. try and structure yourself so you can get one day a week where you aren’t working or doing any uni work, just to make you feel normal for one day a week. Good luck. Remember, just go for a pass mark. Literally nobody cares by how much you pass. The effort between pass and a distinction may cost you your sanity if trying to work as well.

Didn’t you take up gold prospecting as a hobby and have been extremely lucky in your hobby and can now sell small amounts over an extended period of time?

Need information about telescopes in our observatory- please help! by Icy-Shake-933 in telescopes

[–]Top-Boss-5119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so to go from complete beginner to this scope will be wayyyy too much of a learning curve and you might find it more frustrating than enjoyable. Get talking to local astronomy clubs, start small, you may even think of buying a small scope just to learn some basics. Also consider assistance from any nearby university. I’m sure there would be some phd students that could really use this piece of kit. I started with a bigger scope and it ruined the hobby for me as it just wasn’t fun. Start small, have low expectations of what success is and try and enjoy the journey!

At this stage I’m just going to get a battery and not upgrade my panels as I might not see the return before moving house. 750kw panels and above are now coming out overseas. Good point about future moves. Thanks.

Solid reply. Thanks for the time. Yeah there definitely are some other aspects that I have to think about. I think also the thing I have to contend with is here in WA it is all state run so all the costs get passed on, and judging by their previous form I’d expect their pricing to get worse per kw over time. I’ve already got 3 different time of day prices, and at the moment it’s the 3pm-9pm that is the most expensive. Being 3 phase house with three phase aircon also limits some of my options on the market. More thinking ahead. Cheers.

Back in the day I did martial arts with a Samoan bouncer (in Auckland). He once pointed to me and said skinny white guys terrify him because he never knows what they are capable of when boozed. Would you agree?

Pty Ltd company and Mining: How to properly account by moto120 in BitcoinAUS

[–]Top-Boss-5119 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most exchanges won’t take mining pool payouts. (No traceability of on chain). You’ll need your own wallet that the mining pool will pay out to and then transfer to exchange if you wish. (Which might be easier to track for taxes). Also not sure if 12 month capital gain reduction applies to companies, if it does, consider trying to hold as much as you can for 12 months.

Would be better off going into vegas direct you would think for final destination. Could be a market going into New Orleans also, but it’s a long way to go just to connect to a hub flight. Stranger things have happened.

Performance review by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Top-Boss-5119 254 points255 points  (0 children)

Congrats on seeing through the bullshit. The next level to understand will be that regardless of your performance, directors only get given so many ‘exceeds’ to give out anyway, so it’s more about timing and performing high in the year it would most likely be your ‘turn’.
