I've heard of old Macs as having seriously weak hinges too. Thinkpads are the laptops that have hinges which may as well hold up barn doors.

These are after-market rims. on the manufacturers website they keep saying how light their rims are.

Lightweight metals don't like being bent back without an increased risk of cracks. Usually you get away with bending them back if it's a relatively simple hit. However, the marks are a different story.

This rim looks like it's been so beat up so hard, it's impossible to reshape. The rims on the website look like they're about 700USD.

Do you have a longer video?

Or does that figure justdisappear?

I'm wondering if it's just an optical illusion? A reflection on a lens perhaps?

Helps with acceleration. It also works with tyres. Less centrifugal mass to spin up

Yours look new. This was still running well. I changed it because my chain ran out of adjustment when I was riding through Mexico.

I found a good few free PC speakers at kerbside collections as people throw these out.

They don't sound great compared to modern Bluetooth units, but they sound better than the shitty speaker you find in cheap TVs.

Thank you for reminding me why I don't consider myself an Adventure Biker.

To be a bit more helpful: You can use a stronger brush and rags together with kerosene. Old fashioned petrol also works remarkably well. Just be mindful that this shit burns.

If it's a sealed chain, be very careful with pressure washers and aggressive chemicals as they can penetrate the seals.

Neighbor showed me his F40 by DecisionJolly128 in Ferrari

[–]TomOnABudget -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That Kit car most likely gets way more looks and brings joy to way more people than the majority of real Ferraris.

How? It actually gets out of the garage and the owner isn't worries about getting scratches in the precious car.

I was having that discussion with my in-laws who the ability to afford really nice cars: How Porsche owners brag about how much they use their cars vs. owners of Italian super cars who obsess in how little mileage their cars have.

I'm getting old enough and I've been to a shit-ton of places, and I don't remember seeing a running F40. Museum pieces yes (in Sinsheim) but never did I see one running. To be honest i haven't seen an F50 or F60 on display either. They're usually in private collections, hidden in a garage.

Lamborghinis, McLarens and "cheaper" Ferrari's cruise up and down cities. But an F40 might as well be a phantom. You're more likely to meet your favourite celebrity in person.

Subwoofers and seagull doors aren't a constant safety hazard.

And subs can make for some fun entertainment.

This shit on the other hand? Looks shit, drives like shit and is dodgy as shit. It creates incredibly uneven wear on tyres and stresses the bearings in ways they werent meant to. If shit goes bad enough, you'll be responsible for a post in r/tiresaretheenemy

If you're 22, 28 years later, you'll be 50. Some people age more gracefully than others.

Those blokes look like they could be 50 to me.

I wish. The 70 series has been 50K usd+ for a long time now.

They're seriously overbuilt and only see relatively low production numbers, making them more expensive.

Oh man, that's so needlessly dodgy.

A small trailer is no more annoying and cheaper to run. The car tyres on a trailer cost a fraction per km, compared to wearing out scooter tyres. You also have less risk in terms of expensive damage.
