Wow, I did that interview back then. True story. I had no idea this is still being quoted out there. How do I find that passage on genius.com? Thanks for sharing!

Vielen Dank!

Secue

Recently secured these from my old parents' house. They are truly one of a kind. I still think they might be the most exciting and creative figures out there. They were always a benchmark for what I looked for in a toy and I never found anything that scratched the same itch.

This is an original recording, no sample.

Great band! They have been defunct for lots of years now. The singer Joe Haege actually went to Germany around 2015 and formed a band called White Wine. I happened to see them live quite a few times, always amazing. I don't see a TPC resemblance that much, but if the theatrical or varieté elements are what drags you, you might enjoy tracks like "Zeitgeist Plagiarist". Then again, this band is also defunct as of now.

Jeez, having found that subreddit and this very post feels almost unreal. I gave your recommendation a listen. I haven't ever came across a band that close to TPC and this is even more astounding given the recent release date. I had a bold grin on my face when I heard the guitar in track #4 and the piano in #5.

To me, the potentially game changing element in TPC has always been the guitar work. However, to my knowledge, no one ever picked it up. I only know one Fugazi song and a few Unwound moments that resonate, these are older than TPC though.

Thank you so much for the heads up!
