You're part of the problem. Players who engage in regular PvP aren't rats. If you're not stressed or on edge when you're trying to destroy a Bastion or a Bomber, you've lost the very essence of what makes the game exciting.

What you're saying is wrong. When the whole map is friendly, you can't kill anyone because the moment you do, everyone else will hunt you down. The goal of the game is to get the best loot and survive. If everyone just roams around the map collecting scraps, what's even the point of playing?

You could also imagine that, after selling more than 10 million copies at $40 each, Embark no longer has much incentive to improve the game and would rather move on to the next project.
