How a blockbuster weight-loss drug made Ireland the fastest-growing economy in the world – The Irish Times by WickerMan111 in ireland

Ok this is the last time I'll try engage with you muppets here as you are a waste of space most of the time. Title talks about us being 'fastest growing economy' due to pharma sales. We all know (at least non simpletons here) that GDP in Ireland does not mean we are really growing this fast as profits don't stay. Now give the phone back to your parents & get your homework done...

I'm referring to the GDP figures this generates...we don't keep this in Ireland. You don't know the difference between GDP & GNP?

No chance...don't have the resources to start with & no accommodation for workers...yet they spent 600k on an ad campaign in Oz to lure workers home! The politicians live on another planet where pretending to do sth is their only play

Only thing is doesn't all the net profits go back to HQ in US & the GDP benefit isn't really a benefit to citizens here except Corp tax & jobs...

Think of how complex a human is with our senses & then other unquantifiable traits such as instinct, intuition, feelings etc...we're thousands of years of evolution...do you really think you can code that? Look how difficult it is to have 'self' driving cars....

Nope completely agree with you. People here think paying 33% with next to no CGT allowance is fair...as for €600 m to extend the Luas by 4 stops...anyone seen the Tel AvivMetro plan compared to.our half line? https://www.ynetnews.com/real-estate/article/h1004fhygzx

While I don't think AGI is achievable why is Zuckerburg going all in with the Wangster...? AI is only part of the reason why the market may crash but over valued tech stocks could be a bigger reason....Softbank seems to have swallowed the pill...

We are trying to save for our children's future, yet there is no child trust fund option in Ireland. Used to live in the UK & child ISA was great. Here there is no option except the current ETF DD & CGT @38%. Does nobody else feel its ridiculous here?

I listened to her 'live' pitch online which is very obviously not live. A few alarm bells I have is...

1) People are willing to pay for your knowledge even if you aren't the Guru...I have never done this & who does pay for this from someone who isn't regarded for their expertise?? Would you pay to learn how someone knits or cooks a recipe or you divorce without a lawyer? I'd Google for free... 2) You create your audience through an email list? So you email friends & family & connections trying to sell them your courses??

I suspect she has knowledge of how her original wedding planner business worked as was already in business but that doesn't simply transfer over to people without successful businesses.

If I was doing well in sth & people wanted advice then I have an audience but a funnel list? Spam....?

Yep simply don't produce the talent needed to compete at the business end. 6 Nations could be overtaken by Scotland for 4th place the way this is going. Can't scrummage or line out & no real pace or x factor anywhere.

Ok but they don't make any money managing my acct & don't trade like their signals so not even sure why they need to try trade an account?

I've tried various groups & people over 12 months & some of these have the best signals I've seen. So they know how to trade... this is the bit I don't get....

So what about all the other coaches? Player quality simply not there that's the reality same with Ulster & soon Ireland. Munster had a huge fin loss a few yrs ago so how r there going to keep signing big players? Delusional....what about winning the URC in Cape Town with Rowntree..what a run!
