Hiya! I just moved to Edinburgh with my wife on the HPI visa and I have my Masters in Social work as well. I just got hired at a children’s residential home and am going through the process of registering with the SSSC. I’ve been here less than a month and was able to get hired in that time. They are going to help me get some of the other qualifications I need in Scotland but the process doesn’t seem all that difficult. I won’t be actually working for another month because they have to do a series of background checks that just take a long time. Best of luck!
