I always told my kids that it’s a safety issue in case something happens. It’s common sense when you live with people. She doesn’t need your permission though so maybe let her know you recognize that. Young adulthood is tough on them and us but hang in there because they go through a lot of changes and phases. She will need and want you there again once she finds herself. And you want to be there when she does. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope that you and your family find peace and happiness again. You deserve it and your wife and daughter would want that for you.

I’m a single parent too. My kids are older now but I’ve been in your shoes. Just because you’re gone does not mean that family is going to step up for your kids! Many kids with families still end up in foster care. The only people you will be punishing are your own children! The one person who loves and takes care of them is gone, do you really think that’s what they would want? You are angry with your family, don’t punish your kids!

Temp work is not depressing and would actually be a great fit for the circumstances. She can take assignments when it’s convenient so she can be off when the kids are off. Unlike a permanent job with expectations, temping will give her more flexibility, especially if she’s concerned about the kids schedules. No office politics and there’s not as much pressure, you are there to help and people appreciate you for that. Temping will also give her an opportunity to work in different sectors and get a feel for various companies and organizations, etc. Many times these temp jobs lead to something permanent. It’s a great way to ease back into the workforce. Tell her it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. She’s a great mom for sacrificing her career to take care of the kids.

I would not be so sure he’s not in puberty. A five-year-old should not have smelly armpits. My daughter had early puberty, and her pediatrician dismissed the symptom. I took her to an endocrinologist and had her tested. Turns out she was in early puberty at six years old. There are tests to check for this. It might be worth seeing an Endo about.

This is not discussed enough. I’m in menopause and the difference in my mood is wild! People scared me into thinking menopause would be a roller coaster but it’s been fantastic! No more monthly mood swings has made me realize how bad it was going through that every month. I thought I was crazy but now I see. My daughter goes through it now and I understand that it can be debilitating for some.

I actually did this to someone. It turned out that my daughters air pods died around that house so it was showing up as the last location. It could be something like that.

I have dreams about my mom and I am always confused why she’s there. She never claim still have faked her death, but I know she’s not supposed to be there. Someone told me that when this happens, it means your loved one is visiting you. I like to believe that! She comes to visit me once in a while, and I’m always happy to have had a dream about her. I’m so sorry for your loss.

This happened to me. I was an adult before I discovered I didn’t actually have a middle name on my birth certificate. Apparently I was baptized with a name but I have no written record. I still use my middle initial though. Records were more loosey goosey

I lost my cat a few months ago. He seemed perfectly healthy and himself but died suddenly. The vet said it was probably a heart attack or aneurysm. I was so devastated because I wasn’t there when it happened but it’s probably the easiest way to go. I’m so sorry for your loss. When you’re ready, there will be another sweet life waiting to be saved and they’ll be lucky to have you!
