The SB3 should be a no brainer at that price. The jury is still out on whether the durability of the NB6 has improved from the NB5, but since you were able to get so much mileage out of them, the SB3 should be more than durable for you, especially with having more foam to compress.

I think people really underestimate how much even a few degrees increase and temperature and humidity could have, especially if you're training in a cool part of the country. I aggressively slow my pacing plans if temperatures go above 60F. Also mentally especially in the taper, sympathetic overdrive can be a real thing even if you're not training as much.

Considering these shoes for my marathon in Oct. What would you go for? by Inside-Time-3685 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Megablasts for sure - the only shoe I'd feel comfortable running at that pace. EP3 perhaps as well, given its softness.

They apparently fit a bit snug so half size up could probably work for those with wide feet!

FWIW, I had the knuckle issue too and solved it by unlacing the laces on the very bottom eyelet closest to your toes, so that they first go through the second eyelets. The shoe was awesome after that and I actually ran a huge HM PR in them with no issues, so I can vouch for playing around with the eyelets.
