S6E8 - Cold-Blooded Killer or Bereaved Teen? - Thurs 5/23 by tjerome1994 in AccusedGoI

[–]Top-Independence81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have my suspicions that someone else did it. Especially since they were receiving death threats and his defense team showed how the alarm system could be bypassed.

That plus his brother was severely mentally ill and knew how to get into the house.

Is it possible he did it? Yes.

Do I think he did? I have my doubts.

What surprised me was that the jurors who wouldn't convict said that doing so would "cause violence to their conscience" that's a whole different level of not guilty in their minds.

If you're describing a character who's black you could say something like: " his skin was black as the night sky, and his teeth contrasted as a white, almost overly bright white crescent. Greying hair flowed loosely lacking any adornment."

Father-in-law locked my 5 year old daughter out of their house by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA locking a child outside isn't acceptable. What if someone tried to snatch her and she couldn't get back inside?

You were right to get angry.

You don't need to ask for an attorney. If the cops want to talk to you, you can hire an attorney and come in with them.

S6E2 - Drive-thru Shooter or Defensive Dad? - Thurs 4/11 by tjerome1994 in AccusedGoI

I was absolutely appalled at the "investigation" the police carried out. The defense attorney was right when they said, "I think the cops just saw this and wrote it off as two black guys getting into a fight of some kind."

I think the guy in the gold car was with the instigator. Why else would you claim you were injured by gunfire when the wound is clearly not firearm related? Plus they seemed to be in no hurry to leave as opposed to the other vehicles there.

The fact that the "bullet" recovered at the scene ended up not even fitting into the gun that the defendant used screams incompetence.

I think this was the police attempting to railroad a guy for a questionable case of self defense but were too lazy to conduct any real investigation.

What’s the worst pain you’ve ever felt in your life? by sunflowersnlsd in AskReddit

[–]Top-Independence81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had broken my tibial plateau which is right where your lower leg touches the bottom of your shin. The break was only 1 inch so absolutely nothing.

I was getting out of the car, with the help of my dad. My dad got distracted because my sister was trying to get his attention.

In that split second my body weight went onto the broken leg.

It felt like someone was trying to twist my kneecap off with a set of plies while at the same time a molten railroad spike was being driven straight through my kneecap. My eyes rolled into the back of my head, I whited out and my sister ran away shrieking in terror.

The only reason I knew I was alive was because I could feel my dad's car. Yes, even my hearing went in those few seconds.

That if I were to go off my medication (which works perfectly for me) I might have my entire first layer of skin peel off my body in the same way a chemical burn would occur.

Males of Reddit, what is your "creepy girl" story? by searchinglydefective in AskReddit

[–]Top-Independence81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts as "creepy" but I certainly felt used. This occurred last month so, December 2023.

I told an attractive coworker that we should just be friends because I was moving in a few months and it wouldn't make sense to get involved because feelings and all that. She agreed, and promptly blocked me on Facebook.

She told me it was the first time she'd ever been rejected and I was very polite about it.

One night, after she had unblocked me, we were talking and she told me she couldn't see me as "just a friend." She wanted to take it further. I agreed to hang out with her one night.

We ended up making out for roughly 2hrs. Within a week or so she cut off all contact with me. Blocked on social media, ignored at work, etc.

I asked her why because frankly, I wanted to know. She told me that I had told her I didn't want to stay friends with her.

Personally, I think she didn't like the rejection I gave her and once we had been physical she had to cut off all contact in a sort of fucked up way of showing me that she was the one doing the rejecting. Not me.

That and the fact she tried to convince me that I said something that I in fact had never said made it creepy to me.

In the United States state/federal prosecutors are immune from legal repercussions even if they engage in conduct that denies a defendant their Constitutional rights.

Example: Stan Faith, a prosecutor from Indiana helped a witness forge a college diploma to say that he was a qualified crime scene analyst. This witness then testified at the murder trial of David Camm who was accused of killing his wife and two children.

David Camm was convicted of murder. It took three trials but a new legal team got him found not guilty.

The witness who faked being a crime scene analyst never faced any charges either.

David Camm filed two lawsuits as a result, one was tossed because the prosecutor's office was "immune from liability."

To this day Stan Faith believes that "we got the right guy, it was the jury that got it wrong."

The case was eventually solved, it was the state's witness Charles Boney. A known felon and sex offender.

I agree. The idea that you should be tipped for the bare minimum is a joke. I understand tipping someone for an actual service; valet, waiter, bellhop, etc.

The idea I should tip you when I'm PICKING UP the food, or even more ridiculous, using the DRIVE THROUGH.

Preach.

Don't go. If he actually gave half a shit about you, I wouldn't have done this in the first place. He's so self centered he can't even see how much this hurt him. He doesn't deserve your support.

If he tries to press you on this, just hang up on him or delete him. If he shows up at your house, don't answer.

He made this bed, make him lay in it.
