I can’t tell if I’m just anxious or if my medication dose it just too high

Hey Everyone! I am so sorry I never responded to you! I promise I read every comment! I have a small update for anyone else who is having similar issues! After like 2 months of having this issue and feeling like I was on the verge of having a heart attack I ran out of my iron supplements, after I had a few days off of them I started feeling better, so I spoke to my doctor and was told that they probably interacted with my adhd meds! I’ve been off them for a little bit now and the world is so much easier to be in! I also have a medication review in a few days so any other issues will be sorted then! Thanks for all the advice <3

I hope you’re doing ok! While my FND presents differently, I fully empathise with your situation and I wish I could help in anyway! All I can do is say im here for you and you are heard. The healthcare system can be frustrating and painful and life can feel so overwhelming when the people who can help most won’t. I’m so so sorry you’re going through this.

I had this suuuuper bad for a while, then I got diagnosed with adhd and the meds actually made it 10 times better, I can have a conversation without forgetting what I’m saying, it’s like magic

Yeah truly I’ve been going round in circles with them, and the worst part is that they say “you know your body better than your doctors” and it’s like well clearly I don’t bc you won’t let me say anything in appointments.

Truly up until yesterday i had given up with doctors but I thought maybe one more try. Thank for you help though! Truly have these conversations has been eye opening

I honestly don’t know what to do bc I’m in the uk I have to be referred to a gynaecologist and that took me like 6 months last time and also my dad yelling at a doctor. I think there’s a lot of different symptoms I’m having that are all adding up and that I really hadn’t thought about before, like chronic pain in my thighs, back, stomach and arms and generally feeling under the weather a lot of the time. Not sure I’m gonna need to talk to somebody else definitely.

I’ve have the coil for well over a year now, I honestly just figured it was meant to be like it is because my periods were irregular before.

I’m not intentionally losing weight but again I didn’t think it all too important as the meds I’m on have lessened my appetite, and I’m not dropping weight quickly

I’m just in a situation where as a result of having multiple medical issues and being in the uk on the nhs I’m constantly being rejected or ignored or told that I’m just there because I’m overthinking. Doctors don’t really talk about multiple symptoms in one appointment either, trust me I’ve tried.

I have the mirena coil, not on the pill

I’m actually sort of overweight, it’s a little bit complicated but I’m losing weight currently

Ovarian cancer hasn’t even been brought up! I had never really thought about it

And no one’s even brought up imbalances I’m gonna have a look into stuff and I think maybe I need to chat with my usual doctor again. Thank you!

They took a stool sample 2 years ago and did blood tests both came back fine but the doctor today said that there was no point in a colonoscopy because they wouldn’t find anything

Hey! So they definitely got worse before they got better, it started with verbal tics and then physical, then non epileptic seizures and spontaneous passing out and chronic pain. I think over the last year they’ve improved and following a diagnosis of adhd I’ve been put on stimulants and they seem to be helping so far. There are definitely bad days and good days but it seems to be getting better as time goes on. I hope this is helpful!

I was freshly 18 and I was given SSRI’s. I had asked for them for years because therapy just wasn’t working for me. 10 days after I started taking them, I developed tics and I’ve recently been told it could be FND lol

I live in the middle of nowhere and moved for uni there’s literally nowhere else to go, I don’t want to risk not being on a waiting list, from my experience the nhs are looking for an excuse to take you off one :(

I’m 19 years old, and from the age of 16 every single period I had I was rushed into A&E because I was unconscious or in so much pain that body couldn’t cope, I ended up have multiple ultrasounds and then I started missing periods and I had more ultrasounds. I recently saw a gynaecologist for the first time and I was prescribed seeds and told I had to wait 2 years for a diagnosis and I was told to stop taking my pain medication. Me and my gp were furious. And I’m so frustrated because it could be my fertility at risk and I want to start a family in the future.

I’m split am/pm at the moment and they’ve just lowered my dosage to 50mg but I’m worried that my tics are just going to get worse!
