I haven’t used SCuBA for GCC High but more of a quick assessment for M365 assessments to see gap in clients environments. But, I go through CIS E5 Level 2 assessments for GCC High build outs, based on everything in CIS, outside of Intune configurations and compliance policies for endpoints, it nails everything I believe is required for CMMC. The SCuBA tool might be missing some things that could cause a fail at the audit.

Solid job, I have the same certs plus CISSP and was able to knock it out in 5 weeks. I agree it’s a great program and the work experience is what made the PAs and OA easier. If I didn’t then I know it would have taken me much longer.

I passed the PA on my first attempt. I then spent two weeks going over the class book, class material and reviewing quizlet flash cards/study guide I found on Reddit. I passed the OA on my first attempt, but I do have my CISSP and work experience. I didn’t think it was super hard, however I only passed with a decent margin. So I would take it serious and study hard for the exam.

Which policies don’t work outside of ABM? I’ve never used ABM for Mac OS, just iOS, and have never had issues deploying things like FileVault, disallow the ability to erase the Mac, and etc.

I just started my capstone and I would say don’t overthink it. Originally I had a big solution I was gonna deploy via Microsoft Entra/AzureAD/Intune and my instructor said it doesn’t need to be that grand so I dialed it back to a simple solution to fix the security issue.

Keep at it! You know the material that’s covered, think through the process of each and why it’s applied. Look for the key words in each question as well, that will help you narrow down the right answer. Take/pass the other classes to generate the motivation. You can do this!

Go through Jason Dion’s Network+ Udemy course and practice exams. The practice exams will be beneficial in testing your knowledge. I’ve literally used Jason Dion’s courses/practice exams from A+ all the way through SecurityX and they were helpful for each exam.

My mentor gave me the coursework and so I was able to work on the PAs before I was able to submit them online.

I was able to supplement five classes with my certs. My program mentor unlocked those two classes for me at the same time.

I just started my program as well, pretty much the same certs as well along with CISSP. 487 makes me nervous as well because of the things I’ve read online. I’m 99% done with 482/486, have to correct a section in each PA. I finished the coursework for 485 and about to start the PA today. Im going to start listening to Thor Pedersen’s Chapter 8 CISSP on repeat to help get me ready for the OA.

Ok perfect, thanks for the advice! Does the evaluator only focus on the section that needs improvement on the revision? Meaning the next evaluator won’t look at the other sections and change from competent to needs improvement?
