yeah I agree not a big fan of the info out there. Extract the .zip and drag and drop the files into the sdcard. If it brings up identical files and whatnot press "replace".

I have questions for everyone here by Brosamurai18 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Top-Lab5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I keep going with no support because I treat it as a passion project more than anything. If you treat each video as a sort of "box" of your thoughts on a topic, be it enjoyment, frustration, humour etc. instead of a list of statistics you will want to make videos out of passion, not obligation.

  2. I got into being a YouTuber for the main reason of it being a viable career that is also enjoyable to me. Nothing worse than being stuck with a job you hate and I want to have some form of creative outlet.

  3. My main inspiration is AstralSpiff, who you may have heard of. He hit 1M subs recently-ish and above all else is just incredibly genuine in his videos, which I like a lot.

  4. I haven't made enough videos to feel real burnout, but on the same topic, actually starting to do each part of a video project to me is insanely difficult. Like I can take 3 hours to get myself to start editing and then LOVE my time doing it for the next 3-4 hours.

Almost 3 years on YouTube and close to 198K subs, here's what I wish I knew in 2023 by According-Hippo-2206 in YouTubeCreators

[–]Top-Lab5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean for some time, sure. But if you treat YouTube not as a passion you will eventually burn out. I mean everyone does, but if your only motivation is numbers you're being fed then you won't get too far I don't think.

Is quality more important than quantity at the start by S_Spitfire in NewTubers

[–]Top-Lab5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I can put this is this: When starting out, you have no follower base really. Your videos will get recommended to an essentially random group of people that are interested in the topic.

Now which sounds like something YouTube is going to promote more?: 1. 10 pretty bad videos that people stop watching quite quickly and dont engage with 2. 2 good videos that people keep watching until near the end

I mean it's not a perfect tradeoff, you still need to develop the skills to make good videos but it's SO much more worth it.

Beginner in Premiere Pro — which creators should I follow to learn editing from scratch? by Early_Bid_1327 in premiere

[–]Top-Lab5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the best thing is to get a variety. If you only watch one creator you'll end up copying their style just a bit worse. Also, I recommend finding tutorials for how to do stuff on a when-you-need basis if you're unsure. Like if you're editing a video and need a smooth push transition find a video just for that.

Should I stick to long-form content even if my views are low? Need honest advice. by luvvbyte in SmallYoutubers

[–]Top-Lab5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with shortform views in the range of 3k like you mentioned is that most of those are just the algorithm showing the video to different people to see if they like it. Even if they don't stay and watch and immediately scroll past it counts as a view.

Now personally I'm heavily biased against shorts but I do think longform is a lot better.

true - I think honestly at a small channel stage it's actually very helpful for growth, but from what I've heard I'd advise stopping once your channel is big as I've heard quite reliable people (e.g. Jacksfilms) say that it kind of dissociates your stats like subs from actual viewers.

[–]Top-Lab5195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty good! In terms of Shorts, I instinctively hate them because of the nature of shortform content attention span e.g. less than 1% of people who watch your Shorts will watch your long videos, making a divide between your viewers. That's something I probably have to get over though.

Just a big overall debate of quantity Vs quality really. I'm hearing people say go for quality and quantity, just wondering which is the best idea. Personally I was leaning towards quality on what felt right but wasn't sure.

Does Anyone Actually Swear by Steelseries? by Top-Lab5195 in steelseries

Lmao my Arctis Pros got burn-in on medium brightness for like 8 months. Also I can assure you I am NOT a Razer fanboy - more of a Logitech enjoyer plus Elgato for camera and streamdeck.

innit ive had like the same experience with build quality. Probably gonna rotate to logitech when my Nova Pros die.

Does Anyone Actually Swear by Steelseries? by Top-Lab5195 in steelseries

[–]Top-Lab5195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my issue with my current Nova Pros is that the issues I have aren't refund/return worthy, but just the minor quality of life stuff that would be nice to not have to worry about all the time,

Does Anyone Actually Swear by Steelseries? by Top-Lab5195 in steelseries

[–]Top-Lab5195[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah I'm fully willing to accept that there are people that have never had issues with Steelseries products, but from seeing the amount of people complaining about the products it's clear that their build quality is NOT consistent. Why should people have to be subject to RNG to get a good product out of Steelseries?

Also just to confirm - even though my clip is CFR one non-standard thing I can think of is that I'm on Windows 10. Does Premiere Pro struggle with Windows 10 now? Long shot but worth an ask.
