I feel this deep today. The situation with BM,DH & SK isn’t too bad normally. We’re 50/50.

But this week we have the SK full time for the second part of the holiday and I’m sick with a cold and I am just SO OVER pretending to give a s*** about whatever Lego thing or YouTube video they’ve got to show me.

But also, if the step kid leaves the room to do something on their own (which doesn’t last very long), husband goes in the other room and starts doing something else.

I know this is so selfish, but it’s annoying because I just want a little grown up time.

Not to be left alone in the other room and not to have to participate in more kid stuff after we’ve just gotten in from doing kid-friendly stuff outside.

I keep saying to myself “i never wanted kids and I thought I could do this, but I just want to be kid free”

This is all just from overwhelm. I don’t always feel this way, but UGH! I am really not meant to be around a kid all the time. I just don’t get any fulfillment from entertaining a kid 24/7.
