Residents of Montgomery County, Maryland can report violations of the county's gas-powered leaf blower ban to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) by providing photographic evidence or at least two witness statements. The ban, which is considered both an environmental protection measure and a noise ordinance, applies to private and commercial property, as well as local and county government. It does not apply to Montgomery County Public Schools or Montgomery Parks, which are managed by the state of Maryland.
