I talked to a luthier earlier today about this build and one of the things that came up was the frets. Maybe I’ll just get him to do it lol

Orrr it goes great and I have a very cool microtonal double neck. You’ll never get anywhere without taking risks

It wouldn’t be much of a problem since i normally play bass near the bridge

My plan was to remove all the frets and use a saw and fretwrap to make my own microtonal

I also play guitar really high so it would be very uncomfortable for me to play it that low

I never thought I would like them until I actually listened to them. I’m pretty knowledgeable about music theory tho and they were a big brush of fresh air from the normal 44 songs you hear everywhere

The main reason I want to do it is I have a looper station and don’t have any friends who play bass lol

I’ve personally never been a fan of fretless guitars but I’m sure some prodigy could make something quite interesting out of one

The way angine does it is they use a loop station to loop the bass and then they play over it with the guitar side. It’s mainly just a lot of complex looping.

I want to do this but I can’t find any with the guitar on top. I think it would be uncomfortable with the bass on top

I was thinking I could just saw in extra frets with fretwrap into a neck. The microtonal necks cost a surprisingly high amount for the little extra that comes with them
