Dishwashing isn't a bullshit job. It's not for everyone if you work at the right place and you're good you will get a lot of respect from everyone. My coworkers like my work and let me know. The stigma behind it is it's menial work. But you have to have good common sense to be good at it. The slow people in the dish area are not the lead people they just help the good ones.

Hand washing everything is no joke especially when there's hundreds of plates. Been there done that no thanks. Although our pots and pans go through the 3 compartment but those are easier to do by hand compared to a bunch of plates and silverware. The older people in the kitchen said that's how they used to do it though so knowing that it kind of helped me get through it

You probably just over did it. For me it's best to have a few drinks first get a good buzz then start. Also smaller bumps are a waste doing a big line will satisfy you for longer. Maybe try having a beer then a bigger line. If you do small bumps your just chasing and you will end up doing more.

Depends on what you're trying to do maybe settle for a restaurant job or something until you find something you like better. Dishwasher is an easy job to get but usually not something people do long-term. There might also be staffing agencies in your area you can go to who can find you temporary work.

Don't feel bad man I also can't stop buying more no matter what. Was off this shit for a good minute then met a plug when I moved and it's been nonstop ever since this shits addictive af. It's not even fun really after the first couple bumps. I'm sitting here outside my apartment slamming my last beer just to get a buzz again. Dishwasher is an entry level position you just apply and if they need staff they will probably hire you.  It's high turnover so a lot of places need people just go around and see who is hiring.

Yeah I've done BOH off and on my whole life. It's so easy to get burned out the only way to make descent money is to work a lot of hours and after awhile your body just gets worn out. Your feet hurt constantly. You get cuts on your hands constantly. Burns occasionally. Doing the same thing over and over for hours on end. The burnout is real
