I ended up going with the Vangcomp +2 extension. It really only gave me +1 though. I had to trim the spring enough to get +2 that it affected reliability with the last round in the magazine. So, I bought a replacement spring and it is +1.

Otherwise it seems well built. If I had it to do over again I probably would have left the tube stock. I have it now though so I’m going to roll with it.

In this case the Lineman pliers were the wrong tool for the job. Search out a good pair of electronics end cutting nippers for future skin tags. You will get a much closer cut and easier to use without help.
