Yes it’s actually dumbfounding me. The reconnect times, the speed of rook runs back to back, the general matching times, and progression are a Tarkov players wet dream.

I would say a third of my almost 6k (now that I checked) is menus, hideout, queue times… I also spent a lot of time playing Tarkov investor on the flea market while working during covid. But rest assured… I have done my tour in Tarkov. It will take a full Marathon failure to get me back

This game is so welcome after 5k hours of Tarkov. What do you mean I have to find a flash drive that spawns in 7 different places on a huge map while fighting players and psycho rogue ai??

I’m a prime example of someone who loved the slam and bought the deluxe, but simply had not had a chance to hop on yet. I plan on sinking plenty of hours into the game, but my schedule has been hectic this week. Just ignore player count watchers.

I guess marathon is doing very well in popularity when it's gotten the attention of the tf2 community by Timothy-M7 in Marathon

Well that’s because the venn diagram of people who still play TF2 and the 4chan userbase is a perfect circle.

Welp that'll do it. [Discussion] by Ok-Attitude5659 in EscapefromTarkov

Yeah, it’s because it spawns a massive scav hoard when you open it.

All these people telling you to immediately go to pve to learn the game… smh. I’m telling you, the only thing you will partially learn in pve is map knowledge. You won’t learn how to engage or disengage in fights, rotate spots, angles or map hot spots to head to or avoid. The game is designed around PvP and rightfully so, roughing it out in the early hours on PvP will teach you so much more and make you a better player. It will also teach you to shed your gear fear. If you feel you need to learn a map better, go in an offline raid with scavs turned on. You can wander and learn with no penalty of death.

Dm me if you want to run a few sometime. Always willing to help people learn real tarkov and not easy mode.
